TODAY WE CELEBRATE THE SACRAMENT OF THE LORD’S SUPPER. We
invite all those who are members of Christ’s Church and have found
forgiveness of sins in Him, to participate in this supper. If you are
aware of someone who is not here today, but would like to receive

5th Grade meet downstairs for your very own service.

PRAYERS & PRAISE
HEALTH CONCERNS – Pray for Jim Emelander as he has knee surgery on
Friday, April 16. Also remember Luke Nordlund in your prayers as he
is recovering from knee surgery that he had on April 8. Check out the
‘Prayers & Praise Line’ insert for the many persons in our Grace
family who are recovering from surgeries or hospitalizations, or are
undergoing tests and treatments. Our God is the Great Healer!

a male accompany them on this trip!

Pastor Rick will continue with his series of messages to apply the
Heidelberg Catechism to every day faith! The message is entitled “I
Believe there is Hope for the Miserable” based on Psalm 137.
9:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall - All the volunteers who signed up for
the “Jesus Baptism” Discovery Kids rotation, please meet with
Heather to go over your rotation schedule. If you have any questions,
please contact Heather at 450-0302.
11:30 AM ALL CHURCH DINNER – Dinner has been planned and
prepared by the team going on the mission work trip to Cedar Rapids,
Iowa! Please refer to the insert in the bulletin and tear off the bottom
of the page so that we can count on you at the dinner! The purpose of
the dinner is to fellowship together and learn more about the plans of
the group going. Also, they would appreciate any donations that you
can make to cover the cost of transportation and lodging while there.
DISCOVERY KIDZ VOLUNTEERS – The next rotation is “Jesus Baptized”
which runs from April 18 – May 16. Still needed are persons for
games and drama. These positions only require a 3 week
commitment! Please see Heather, or sign up in the narthex, if you
can help! (see above announcement for training on 4-18)
MISSION WORK TRIP TO CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA – MAY 2-8
Eleven people from Grace have signed up to take part in this
ecumenical build with Church World Service and 9 other churches!
For those who have committed to the trip…please get your
paperwork in to Shari today!
APRIL 19 AT 7:00 PM, there will be a Spiritual Growth and Youth
Ministry Team meeting at The Crossing.
APRIL 20, 1:00 PM THE ELIZABETH CIRCLE will meet in the Consistory
Room. A study sheet for the discussion of Acts 8 & 9 has been placed
in your mailbox. All women are welcome.
April 22 at 6:30 PM. CADET LEADERS, please meet with Heather for
planning next years events and getting things ready for the camporee.

GEM’S SUNDAY DURING THE AM SERVICE! The special offering that
morning will go to the GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior).
MUSIC APPRECIATION NIGHT will take place in the evening!
A special night of music is being planned with all our music groups
participating. The Veterans Facility will be our guests. Also, Faith
Reformed will join us in worship as well as bring their music groups
to add to our celebration!
DISCOVERY KIDZ…SAVE THE DATE - APRIL 25. After the morning
service we will thank our Wednesday night volunteers with cake and
punch. Then we will head out to Frederik Meijer Gardens for a fun
DISCOVERY KIDZ SUMMER ROTATION BEGINS MAY 23RD. The summer
rotations will consist of only 3 week segments. The kids are broken
down into 2 groups: 3 & 4 years and K-5th grade. This means that for
teachers only a 2 week commitment is needed and for Shepherds a 3
week commitment. Volunteers are needed for the “Jesus feeds five
thousand” rotation, which is May 23 through June 6.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL – June 15 – 18 6:00 – 7:45 pm.
This year VBS is going to be a step back to Marketplace 29 AD. Visit
the shops in the marketplace, dance and sing, see live animals and
much more! SIGN UP SHEETS ARE ON THE NARTHEX TABLE!

We thank God for the opportunity and privilege of worship today and throughout the week.
We continue to pray for all those recovering from illnesses, surgeries or hospitalization, or who are undergoing tests or treatments. In particular we pray for these Grace church members: Luke Nordlund, Lisa Braendle, Deb Pierce, John De Jong, Lucille Sytsema, Tymie Boeve and Ade Peterson.
We remember Barb Funckes in our prayers as she is hospitalized in serious condition.
We thank you God for your healing powers and love for us.
Please pray for Sandy Farris’ father, Glenn Moore.
Please pray also for Connie Maile, sister of Jim Emelander, who is battling cancer.
Keep these friends and family serving in the military in your prayers: Amie Pierce, Doug Desmarais, Frank Senko, Matthew Halverson, Dave Vander Berg, Nick Borkowski.
