THIS MORNING Pastor Rick will begin a new series of messages entitled:
“THE GENEROUS LIFE”. See the insert in your bulletin today for all
the details.

OUR MINSTRY OF MUSIC this morning is presented by Sue Kurtz. We
thank you for being with us today and sharing your testimony in

Children ages 3 & 4 years meet in Fellowship Hall with
Worship Leaders Jennifer Elkowitz and Erika Wigent.
Children K – 2nd Grade meet in the choir room with
Worship Leader Gracia Class and Chelsea Boeve.

11:20 AM–12:20 PM SUNDAY SCHOOL - There are classes available for
all ages three years old and upward. A nursery is available for those
children under the age of three.
Sunday School Guide Class will meet in the Consistory Room. Join
them for lively discussions relating to our Christian walk.
Songs and Psalms Join Brad Class in the Chapel. This week we will
look at Psalm 18.
You Were Shaped For Serving God – Meet at the Crossing.

during the Sunday School hour. All HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE
SCHOOL students are invited to join them. No Sunday School classes
will be held for HS and MS students at the Crossing.

SUNDAY’S AT SIX – Join Pastor Rick in the Chapel for the message

6:00 PM GRACE GIFTED – In addition to our regular Chapel service
tonight, Grace Gifted will be held at the Crossing. There will be a few
changes! The most significant change will be that there will be fewer
gifts displayed, as we are trying to turn this into a more contemporary
service. Upcoming services will be held on April 29 and May 20 from
6:00 pm – 7:30 pm. There will be a lively worship time and a
relevant Gospel message preached by Darrell Delaney.


1:15 PM THE ELIZABETH CIRCLE will meet in the Consistory Room.

3:00 – 5:00 PM CLUB 3:16 for MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH

6:00 PM ALASKA CHALLENGE AUCTION! See insert today!

participate in the Auction!

9:00 – 11:00 AM ALASKA CHALLENGE Baking Marathon for all
those going to Alaska!
12 NOON – VBS MEETING at the Crossing! All those involved or
interested in hearing more about the opportunities are invited
to come. If you can’t be there, call Darrell this week.

worship service.


HEALTH CONCERNS – June Snyder has moved to Luther Home,
Nursing Section, Room 403, 1950 – 32nd Street, Grand Rapids.
Please keep June in your prayers as she makes the adjustment.
Jan VanWyk continues at the U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor. Adrian
Peterson underwent surgery Friday to remove tumors from his
bladder. See the Prayers and Praise Line for all other concerns of
the Grace family.

THANK YOU! Thank you to everyone who gave so generously to the
LENT FOOD COLLECTION! Over 75 bags of groceries and personal
care items were given to Faith and Family Network of Wyoming
Food Pantries. “The King will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever
you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, YOU did for
ME.” Matthew 25:40

USE ME, JESUS, USE ME! This is the prayer of the now 15 persons going
to McComb, Mississippi. On Friday, April 20 at 6 PM, we will leave
church (you’re welcome to join us in prayer as we leave!) and travel
about 6 hours to Salem, IL where we will stay overnight. Saturday
morning we will continue our trip to McComb, MS (another 566
miles), hoping to arrive early evening. Sunday we will worship with
the congregation who is letting us stay in their former parsonage –
the Centenary House. Sunday will be a day of rest so we can get to
work Monday through Friday. We will be repairing houses and doing
clean up…we will be assigned jobs by the SW Mississippi Recovery
Network when we get there. Wednesday afternoon we will take time
to travel to New Orleans and go to the French Quarter and the Ninth
Ward, which is where the levy broke. Friday afternoon we will start
for home, staying in Hayti, MO overnight. Saturday, April 28 we will
continue on our way home. Please pray for safety for the group and
also pray that we will be a blessing to those we come to serve! On
May 13, we hope to share stories and pictures during the morning
worship service! Those going on the trip are: Joan Emaus, Jim &
Linda Emelander, Larry Kleymeer, Jim & Sheila Mc Elroy, Kara
Pierce, Nikki Probst, Phyllis & Rog Vander Sloot, Bill Ver Hulst,
Eric & Erika Wigent, and Dale & Shari Dood.


Sunday, May 6, 10:00 AM GEMS SUNDAY. Our GEMS will take part in our
service. Our SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of April is designated
for the GEMS Organization. This special offering will be received on
May 6 (not the usual last Sunday of the month).

Sunday, May 6, 6:00 PM MUSIC APPRECIATION SERVICE. All our music
groups will participate!


NEWSPAPER COLLECTIONS will continue! You will notice a green “Paper
Gator” in the parking lot near the garage. You can now bring you
papers directly there. All newspapers, phone books, magazines,
paper, etc. can be deposited there (no cardboard or plastic).
Proceeds will benefit our Cadet Group and the Boy Scouts (many of
which belong to our congregation) equally.

CHANGE FOR ALASKA – Remember to drop your coins and dollars in the
Alaska Change jars in the narthex! Instructions are in the narthex.

BAKE SALE! Bake Sales will be held on April 22 & 29 with proceeds
benefiting the Alaska Challenge Group! Donations of baked goods
from the congregation are welcomed! Just bring your dessert,
cookies, bread...with you on Sunday morning and see Tymie or Kia in
the narthex for pricing. If you have any questions, please call Tymie
at 538-3100 or 531-5700. Thanks!

“TRANSPORT FOR CHRIST” is having a dinner banquet on Tuesday, April
17, 2007. If you are interested in attending or hearing more about
this, contact Wes Dekker at 534-9315 TODAY!

ALASKA TEAM – Plan on meeting in the church kitchen on April 21 & 28
from 9-11 am to prepare baked goods for the sale!

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY - If you would like to help build the local RCA
sponsored Habitat home, fill in one of the forms on the table in the
narthex. There are times in April, May, or June. Please sign the
board that is setting by the sound system in the sanctuary….this
board will be built right into the home itself.

JOIN THE DIG AT The Quest for Truth - June 11-15! At Quest for Truth we
travel to Holy Land sites to uncover evidence that shows the truth
about Jesus. VOLUNTEERS are needed!! A volunteer meeting will be
held Saturday at Noon at the Crossing!

This Thursday, April 19 at 7:00 pm at the Van Singel Fine Arts
Center. Tickets are $5.00 each. RSVP to Darrell or Kia by
TOMORROW! Meet at the Crossing at 6:00 pm.

COOKING UP A CURE – Tastefully Simple Open House Fundraiser being
held at 3948 41st Street – just off Wilson in Grandville on Tuesday,
April 17 from 6-8 pm. Heather Dood will be our consultant so drop
by for a few minutes with friends or family to sample some new
recipes and check out the newest products! 15% of all sales will be
donated to the Breast Cancer 3-day event. Contact Christy Kleymeer
530-4964 or for more information.

CROP FOR THE CURE – Saturday, May 12 from 11 am – 10 pm at Grace.
Cost is $25.00 per person or scrap with your “Bosom Buddies”
4 tickets for only $80. Your ticket includes lunch, dinner, snacks and
1 raffle ticket the day of the event. Each cropper wearing pink will
get a free raffle ticket at the door! Please RSVP to Christy Kleymeer
no later than May 5.
