TODAY AT GRACE

TODAY WE CELEBRATE THE SACRAMENT OF THE LORD’S

 SUPPER. We invite all those who are members of Christ’s Church

 and have found forgiveness of sins in Him, to participate in the

 supper. A brief Communion Service will be held in the

 Chapel following the service for anyone who was not able

 to be present during the worship service. If you are aware of

 someone who is not here today, but would like to receive this

 sacrament, please contact the church office.

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET. All children ages 3

 years – 5th Grade meet downstairs by the youth desk. 

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the Sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George and the new church start. All are welcome.

 

ELDERS INVITATION If you have questions, concerns, joys, or

 prayer needs that you would like to share, please see the Pastor or

 an Elder today. Elders will be greeting at the doors as you leave the

 sanctuary this morning and they are also listed on the back of your

 bulletin. You may also make a notation on the Fellowship Register.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will meet in

 the Consistory Room following the morning service today.

 

6:45 PM Y-LIFE will meet at the Crossing. A special Mystery Guest

 will be joining us! ONLY 4 meetings left till Summer break.

 7:00 PM CHIAPAS TEAM will meet together to view slides and

NEXT WEEK, APRIL 22, 2012

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will share the message: “God’s

 Messengers” from THE STORY. In preparation read Chapter 15. 

 Our Chiapas team will share their experiences with us and show

 slides of their trip. DINNER will be served in appreciation for all the

 prayerful support following the morning service. 

 ** RESERVATIONS ARE DUE TODAY!! **

 You can call the office at the very latest on Tuesday!

 See the insert in your bulletin, tear off the reservation part,

 and drop it in the offering plate or in the box in the narthex.

 If you are willing to bring a salad or dessert, please sign up on the

PRAYERS & PRAISE

 

HEALTH CONCERNS – Janet Yonkers moved to the Heartwood

 Lodge, 18525 Woodland Ridge Dr., Spring Lake, MI 49456 following

 surgery to repair her broken hip. She handled the move well and is

 improving each day. Please keep Janet and her family in your

 prayers. For all other prayer requests and praise reports, see the

 Prayers & Praise Line in your bulletin today.

 

IN APPRECIATION - Our heartfelt thanks to our Grace church

 family for your prayers, cards, expressions of condolence, and other

 deeds of kindness extended during the illness and recent death of

 our brother/brother-in-law, Norman Ver Merris. Much

 appreciation. In answer to prayers, our sister in law, Doris

 Ver Merris, after being seriously ill and hospitalized several weeks,

 is now recuperating at home. As a result of the illness there is a

 vision problem. Hopefully it will be treatable. Please continue to

 pray for her. ~Shirley De Bruin & Ruth Ver Merris

 

 We received the following thank you from Dr. Shanna Ten Clay, who

 received one of our “goodie boxes”. Shanna is serving in the medical

 field in Afghanistan: “Thank you so much for your thoughtful box! 

 The homemade cookies, candy, granola bars, gum, etc. were so

 wonderful. I shared them with my whole group. We appreciate it!”

 Annual Easter Egg Hunt. We had another wonderful year and we

Sunday, May 6, 1st VBS MEETING will be held following the

 morning service. During this time I will have a list of all areas that

 need volunteers and details on each area. I will do a quick run

 through of what the theme is as well on this day. Please join me for a

 quick informational meeting. Go Fish Praise ~ Where kids get

 down and lift God high!Monday – Thursday, June 11-14.

Church Plant Prayer Focus

Please pray for wisdom as we seek to grow the Crossing Community

beyond the Club 3:16 families.

 

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We praise and thank God this week for the gift of health – for our able bodies and clear mind. Ask him to use your abilities in His kingdom work.
  • Pray for those searching for purpose in their life, that they may find it in the risen Christ!
  • We pray for the work and ministry of Daniel Jung with the Club kids and the Connections families.
  • Remember Pastor George & Juel in your prayers as Pastor George continues with the healing process.
  • We are very thankful today that Paul Kerkstra is doing well after a brief hospitalization earlier this week.
  • Please pray for Sally Herrema following knee replacement surgery. 
  • Pray for Janet Yonkers to heal following hip surgery.
  • Pray for the plans for VBS. Pray for children to attend!
  • Pray for Al & Sue Schreuder and the students and administration at the John Kemper Seminary.
  • We remember in prayer the following family or friends of our members that are ill or receiving treatments: Lola De Young, Curt Boes, Dan De Vries, and Doris Ver Merris.
