TODAY WE WELCOME Shawn Gerbers to our pulpit. Thank you for
coming and sharing with us this Lord’s day.

Children ages 3 & 4 meet in Fellowship Hall with
Worship Leaders Janna Emelander & Sue Stuk.
Children K – 2nd Grade meet in the choir room with
Worship Leaders Darrell Delaney & Joshua Sawyer.

11:20 AM–12:20 PM SUNDAY SCHOOL – There are classes available for
all ages three years old and upward. A nursery is available for those
children under the age of three.
Sunday School Guide Class will meet in the Consistory Room. Join
them for lively discussions relating to our Christian walk.
“Faith in the Cinema” – This class will NOT meet today.
“Daniel – Spiritual Living in a Secular World” – Meet in Kia’s office.


HEALTH CONCERNS – Dorothy Church is at the Spectrum Continuing
Care Center after being hospitalized earlier with pneumonia.

MISSION WORK TRIP – Please keep those persons working this week in
Mobile, AL in your prayers! The persons, accepting the call to serve

9:00 AM ANNUAL SPRING CLEAN UP of the church grounds.
Grace, along with the Boy Scouts, is organizing this event.
Be sure to wear gloves and work clothes for this day of

NEXT SUNDAY PASTOR RICK will conclude the series “Christ Like Values”
with the message “Courage: Standing Firm Anywhere, Anytime.”
For our evening service Pastor Rick will continue the study “From the
Old to the New to You: David” where we discover Christ in the Old
Testament and in our lives as well.



PASTOR RICK & DONNA will be on vacation through April 25. If a need
arises during this time, please contact an Elder, your Caring
Shepherd or call the office and we will contact them for you.

PRAYER WALKS in the neighborhood of Grace are taking place on
Monday evenings, Tuesday morning, Wednesday evening, and
Saturday morning once a month (on the week prior to and including
the 3rd Saturday). More walkers are welcome. Sign up on the form in
the narthex.

MUSIC APPRECIATION – SUNDAY, MAY 4, 6:00 PM – All our music groups
will participate! The choir of Faith Reformed Church will also be a
part of the program. The men and women from the Veterans Home
will be our special guests. Plan now to attend!

HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS – Scholarship applications are available on the
counter in the office. Completed applications can be placed in an
envelope and left on the desk in the main office. Due date is May 4.
Call the office if you have any questions.

POWER LAB VBS June 9 - 13! If you are interested and cannot wait to
sign up, check out this website:

FOOD DONATIONS NEEDED for VBS – This year as in years past we are
asking for donations for the VBS snack. On the narthex table is a list
of items needed. Sign up if you can help out with a donation!

GOLF OUTING – SATURDAY, MAY 17 at the Pines Golf Course. Tee time is
2:00 pm. Potluck immediately following at the course. Sign up in
the narthex!

SPECIAL OFFERING – The Special Offering for the month of April is
designated for the GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior)
ORGANIZATION. This special offering will be received on May 4
which is GEMS Sunday (not the usual last Sunday of the Month).

“SCHOOL KITS” Service Project for children in impoverished schools,
refugee camps, and other difficult settings in the world. You can help
by sewing cloth school bags and purchasing the specific needed
school items. See the yellow flyer on the table in the narthex for
exact details. This project will end in October so you will have plenty
of time to find sales so that we can fill the bags that are presently
being sewed.

TWIN STAR STAINLESS SILVERWARE…We are in search of this particular
pattern to replace the many missing pieces in our church kitchen. If
anyone would like to donate pieces that they may have or if you know
anyone who may have this pattern and be willing to donate, please
call Joan Patterson at 538-7199.

MARSHALL’S ADOPTION EFFORTS. Donations gratefully accepted!
Please set aside any items you no longer need for this fundraiser.

THE METROPOLITAN CHOIR OF PRAISE will perform their Spring Concert
at 1st Jenison CRC on Sunday, April 27 at 8 PM. Everyone is invited.

CELEBRATING 4 years of God’s blessings for Family Network of
Wyoming Food Pantry! You are welcome to join us May 9,
2008 at the FAMILY CELEBRATION DINNER! The dinner
will be at Calvary Christian Reformed Church Family Center, with
punch bowl at 6:30 PM and dinner at 7:00 PM. Guest speaker will be
Chris Lemke, General Manager of WCSG, 91.3 FM, along with special
music. Invite your family and friends to hear about how the Family
Network ministry is impacting our local community. Space is
limited. RSVP by April 28, 2008 by calling us at (616) 885-9919.
