TODAY AT GRACE

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET. All children ages 3

 years – 5th Grade meet downstairs by the youth desk. We welcome

 the Discovery Kidz today to our worship service. They will share with

 us about the rotation they just completed.

 

ELDERS INVITATION If you have questions, concerns, joys, or

 prayer needs that you would like to share, please see the Pastor or

 an Elder today. Elders will be greeting at the doors as you leave the

 sanctuary this morning and they are also listed on the back of your

 bulletin. You may also make a notation on the Fellowship Register.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will meet

 in the Consistory room following the morning worship service. 

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George and Connections.

 Retirees gather for coffee and cookies and neighborly

 conversation.

 6:00 – 7:30 PM FRIENDS & FELLOWSHIP Bible Study Group

 for young adults will meet. CHILDCARE IS PROVIDED!

 6:00 PM CONNECTIONS FAMILY will gather at the Crossing.

 

NEXT WEEK, APRIL 28, 2013

 

10:00 AM Pastor Cecil Martens will lead our morning service and

 share the message: “Possessing the Land” from Joshua 1:1-9, and

 Philippians 4:13. Rev. Harvey Heneveld will be with us for our

 evening worship service.

 

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of April is designated for

 The Juvenile Justice Ministry. Youth for Christ's Juvenile

 Justice Ministry seeks to engage young people as they are met in a

 variety of youth-serving institutions (detention centers, probation,

 correctional facilities, group homes, residential treatment centers

 and emergency shelters). These valued relationships are sustained

 through ongoing involvement as they reenter their communities.

 This offering will be received next Sunday.

 

PRAYERS & PRAISE

HEALTH CONCERNS – Joan Emaus was expected to be able to go

 home after undergoing knee replacement surgery last Monday. 

 Tena De Vink was able to return to her home as well after being

 hospitalized. For all other prayer requests and praise reports, see the

 Prayers & Praise Line in your bulletin.

 

IN APPRECIATION – Thank you to our Grace family for the

 prayers and cards following the recent passing of our father in law.

OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHIES are extended to Heather & Jayme

 Dood and family and Don & Inez Schutter and family upon the very

 unexpected and tragic death of their step sister, Michelle

 Muenzenmeyer, of Tampa, Florida on Tuesday, April 9.

 

MISSION TEAM - Keep our Mission Team in your prayers this week

 as they work rebuilding the home of RD Price and his family in

 Stumpy Point, NC. They are scheduled to return home late

 Saturday night. Those on the Mission Team are: Larry Kleymeer,

 Phyllis & Rog VanderSloot, Jim & Sheila McElroy, Les & Tinna

 Van Wyk, Dee Danavage, Elaine Martin, Della Sawyer, Lillian

 VanderVeen, Terry Morris, and Dale & Shari Dood.

Sunday, May 5 - A VBS INFORMATIONAL MEETING will be held

 after the morning worship service in the Fellowship Hall. There are

 still a few spots open for Volunteers. Would be great to have

 all the spots filled by this May 5 meeting! Please see Heather or sign

 up in the narthex. The following positions still need to be filled:

 choir of Faith Reformed Church will join with us as well as the VETS!

HELP NEEDED FOR DISCOVERY KIDZ SPRING/SUMMER

 ROTATIONS! Please look over the list in the narthex and see

 where you may be able to volunteer. All materials are provided. 

 They are 5 week rotations with the leaders only needed on 3 weeks,

 and the shepherds each week. Even if you can only give one week,

 please see Heather and she can fit you in. Thanks so much!

Prayers & Praise Line

Congregational Prayers and Praise

We pray today for our country. For the many people hurting from Boston to Texas and many areas in between. 

We pray for good health, good weather, and traveling mercies for our Mission Team in Stumpy Point, NC.

Please pray for those who have recently lost loved ones. We remember Heather Dood and her family in a special way this week. May God’s love surround them and give them peace.

Keep Joan Emaus in your prayers as she begins rehabilitation on her knee.

Remember Tena De Vink in your prayers after her recent hospitalization.

We pray for volunteers to come forward to work at VBS in June. We pray for Heather as she is preparing the lessons and activities.

Please continue to keep Rowin Mulder’s brother and family in your prayers.

We remember in prayer the following family or friends of our members that are ill or receiving treatments: Lola De Young, Brian Benthin, John Hoag, Randy Veldheer.

Continue to keep Amie Pierce in your prayers as she is stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas.
