TODAY AT GRACE

 

TODAY our Mission Team will share their experiences and pictures

 while serving in Chiapas. Les VanWyk will share the message. 

 In appreciation for all your support, Dinner will be served in the

 Fellowship Hall following the service. All are welcome!

 

 

THIS MORNING WE celebrate as we welcome the following New

 Members to Grace by transfer:

 

 Katie Sowle (12040-2B Clear View Lane, Holland, 49424) from the

 First United Methodist Church of Mt. Pleasant. 

 

 Beth Kubiak and baptized daughters, Rebekah, Abigail, and Mary

 (2457 Byron Center Ave., Wyoming, 49519) from Faith Community

 CRC of Wyoming.

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET. All children ages 3

 years – 5th Grade meet downstairs by the youth desk. 

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the Sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George and the new church start. All are welcome.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will meet in

 the Consistory Room following the morning service today.

 

PRAYERS & PRAISE

IN APPRECIATION - Juel and I would like to thank you for all your

 prayers, visits and cards of encouragement and support that we

 received before, during and since surgery. We have been blessed.

 The diagnosis, surgery and recovery have all been nothing short of

 miraculous and evidence of God's healing hand. I should be able to

 join you shortly but will understandably be cautious as I continue to

 heal and recuperate. ~Pastor George

 

OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHIES are extended to Betty Figueroa

 upon the sudden death of her son Dennis on Wednesday, April 18 at

 the age of 57. Visitation Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 and services

 Monday at 1:00 pm at Stroo Funeral Home on 68th Street

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Scott Crane will lead our services and share

 the message. 

 

OUR SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of April is designated for

 THE OTHER WAY . The Other Way is a Christian ministry

 walking alongside Westown urban families as they seek to grow 

 spiritually, relationally, and economically. This special offering will

 be received next Sunday.

 All hands and feet are welcome to clean up our Lord’s Home. See

 John Sawyer with any questions.

 

Sunday, May 6, 1st VBS MEETING will be held following the

 morning service. During this time Heather will have a list of all areas

 that need volunteers and details on each area. She will do a quick run

 through of what the theme is as well on this day. Please come for a

 quick informational meeting. Go Fish Praise ~ Where kids get

 down and lift God high!Monday – Thursday, June 11-14.

 

Sunday, May 6, 6:00 PM MUSIC APPRECIATION SERVICE. Join

 us for this special night with all the music groups at Grace. The Choir

 from Faith Reformed Church will be participating as well! The men

 & women from the Veterans Facility will be our special guests.

 FAMILY NETWORK OF WYOMING CELEBRATION & FUND

 RAISING DINNER – This Thursday, April 26 at Faith Community

 CRC, 5250 Byron Center, Wyoming for all with reservations. Punch

 at 6:00 pm and dinner at 6:30. See Shari if you have any questions.

 

 CLOTHING DRIVE for Second Chance Clothing, a ministry of Trinity

 Reformed Church on Leonard, NW - April 22 through May 27.

 As you clean out your closets, please bring good used clothing and

 small household items to the boxes at church. Second Chance is

 supported and operated primarily by volunteers and stocked

 completely by donations. This store provides high quality clothing at

 low cost and the funds that are collected are reinvested into the city's

 NW neighborhood through various ministries, projects,

 organizations, and programs.

 

GRADUATION – Congratulations to Darrell Delaney who will

 graduate on May 7 from Western Seminary. You are invited to an

 Open House in his honor on Monday, May 7 from 3:30 – 6:30 pm at

  • We are thankful today for the work done by our Mission Team in Chiapas. Please continue to pray for Al & Sue Schreuder and the students and administration at the John Kemper Seminary.
  • We thank and praise God for our newest members Katie Sowle and Beth, Rebekah, Abigail, and Mary Kubiak. We pray for God’s blessings on each one as they join in the ministry and works of this church.
  • We pray for the work and ministry of Daniel Jung with the Club kids and the Connections families.
  • Please keep Effie Bolt in your prayers as she undergoes testing for heart issues.
  • Remember Pastor George & Juel in your prayers as Pastor George continues with the healing process.
  • Please pray for Sally Herrema following knee replacement surgery. 
  • Lift up Betty Figueroa in your prayers following the loss of her son. We pray for all those who have recently lost loved ones.
  • We pray today for Heather Dood as she prepares for VBS. We pray that volunteers will come forward to help and for the children that will attend.
