 sanctuary this morning and they are also listed on the back of your

 bulletin.  You may also make a notation on the Fellowship Register.

TODAY WE WELCOME JD Chamberlain and his wife Carol,

 representatives from the Gideons, to our service.  They will speak to

 us about the ongoing work of the Gideons placing Scriptures into the

 hands of the lost here and around the world.


9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ will meet.  All kids ages 3

 years – 5th grade meet downstairs by the youth desk.


ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS meets in the Consistory room

 following the worship service.  They cover scriptural lessons from

 both the old and new testament.  If you have not tried this class, this

 would be a good time to start!


A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.


SUNDAYS AT SIX – We will be meeting at Grace for our evening

 service Rev. Harvey Hertz will share the message “DEATH AND





MONDAY, APRIL 24, 2017




 3:00 – 5:15 PM THE CROSSING for youth in Grades 5 & 6.



 3:30 – 5:30 PM THE CROSSING for youth in Grades 3 & 4.





NEXT SUNDAY Rev. Harry Koops will lead our service and share the




 groups from Grace and the choir from Beverly will participate.  The

 Veterans from the GR Home for Veterans will be our guests. Invite a

 friend to join you for this special night.




HEALTH CONCERNS:  We give thanks that Lillian Vander Veen was

 able to return to her home.  Mary Huizen has moved to her daughter

 Joy’s home permanently.  Her address is: 12805 Theris Dr., Wayland,

 49348.  Brent Kerkstra, son of Paul, is in ICU at St. Mary’s hospital. 

 He had surgery to repair a broken arm/shoulder on Wednesday. 

 Please keep Brent and Paul in your prayers.  Also be in prayer for

 Tom Cook and his family.  Tom had a stage 4 cancer tumor on his

 brain. They removed 90% of the tumor during surgery, but the

 remaining portion is still a concern.  He was able to return to his

 home and will begin treatments soon.  There is a carepage for him at

IN APPRECIATION – Thank you to Pastor Rick and John and Fay

 De Jong for the many visits.  A special thank you to the choir for the

 flowers, and the congregation for the many cards and prayers!

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of April is designated for

 World Renew.  This is a combined endeavor of the Reformed Church

 (RCWS) and Christian Reformed Church to join with communities

 around the world to renew hope, reconcile lives, and restore creation.

 This special offering will be received next Sunday.

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We thank God for the ministry of the Gideons.  We are thankful for the men and women who are a part of this organization.  In particular we pray for John De Jong and Dale Dood, members of this congregation.  We are thankful for JD & Carol Chamberlain who have come to share their work and ministry with us today.
  • Please be in prayer for our Y-Life youth and leaders who are returning home today after being on a weekend retreat at Cran Hill Ranch. 
  • We pray today for our children in Discovery Kidz.  May they all come to know and love Jesus.  We pray for Heather as well as all the volunteers who give of their time each week. 
  • We thank God for the ministry of Connections.  We pray for Pastor George as he leads them each week and as they transition over to Calvary for their Thursday evening dinners.  We thank God for the lives that are touched by this ministry.
  • Please be in prayer for Lillian Vander Veen following heart surgery.
  • Remember Tom Cook in your prayers as he seeks the best treatment moving forward.  We pray for peace and understanding.
  • Continue to remember Brent Kerkstra in your prayers.  We pray for healing and a return to complete health and strength. 
  • Please continue to remember our Grace members and members of their families who are in need of healing, comfort, and strength.  Esther Hoag; Char Otto; Shirley De Bruin; Janet, sister of Wes Dekker; Lana, granddaughter of Ken & Cindy Wylie.
