TODAY AT GRACE

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ will meet.  All kids ages 3

 years – 5th grade meet downstairs by the youth desk.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS will meet in the

 Consistory room following the morning service.  All are welcome. 

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.

 

SUNDAYS AT SIX – Pastor Harvey Hertz will lead our service and

 share the message.  Our friends from Faith will meet with us here at

 Grace for the month of April.

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

COINS FOR KIDS – Our special offering for the month of May is

 designated for Coins for Kids, Grand Rapids Right to Life.  Extra baby

 bottles are available in the narthex for you to collect coins.  Profits

 benefit Grand Rapids Right to Life and local pregnancy agencies that

 provide material support to women and families facing unplanned

 pregnancies.  Small change can make a BIG difference!  In the month

 of May you can work to fill up your bottles.  We will collect them on

 May 29. 

 

DISCOVERY KIDZ volunteers needed for MAY!  See Heather, or sign

 up on the narthex table.
 

FACILITIES UPDATE

  • Phase 3 of the maintenance of the parking lot will be done.  This will include sealing and painting new lines.
  • Our flat roof, as is, will last us about 2 – 3 years.  At that time we will need to replace it at an approximate cost of $84,000.  At this time we will proceed with some minor patch work.  We will continue to fund raise through special offerings, one of them being today!  To date we have collected $15,174.75 toward the project.

 

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER – May 5, 12:00 Noon “Wake Up

 America” (based on Isaiah 58:1) at Grace Bible College, 1101 Aldon

 St. SW.  This will be an approximately 1 hour service followed by

 lunch.  You are all invited to attend.

Congregational Prayers and Praise

 

  • We thank God for the beginning of new life in this spring season.  Help us to be more aware of the beauty in all that God created.
  • We pray today for our Discovery Kidz.  May they all come to know and love Jesus.  We pray for Heather as she leads them.
  • We pray for Pastor George and Connections. We pray for the youth and adults that attend each week. 
  • Please remember in your prayers those who have recently lost loved ones. 
  • Please be in prayer for Joshua Sawyer who has joined the Navy and is now at the Great Lakes Naval Station. 
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Shirley De Bruin as she undergoes chemotherapy.
  • We pray for Sally Herrema as her leg heals up and she undergoes therapy. 
  • We continue to keep Tymie Boeve in our prayers.  We pray for understanding, encouragement, continued healing and strength.
  • Continue to remember Karen Ver Hulst in your prayers.
  • Please keep Brent Kerkstra, son of Paul, in your prayers.  Prayers for a complete return to health and wellness.
  • Pray for Bonnie, friend of Anna Borkowski, who is hospitalized with a blood clot on her lung and is on life support.
  • Please remember Marie Mc Donald, friend of Esther Hoag, who has cancer. 
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Lola De Young and her parents Matt & Lindsey. 
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs. Tena DeVink, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs. Ruth Ver Merris, Mr. Jim Friar.
