Worship Leaders Janna Emelander & Sue Stuk.
Children K – 2nd Grade meet in the choir room with
Worship Leaders Darrell Delaney & Joshua Sawyer.

11:20 AM–12:20 PM SUNDAY SCHOOL – There are classes available for
all ages three years old and upward. A nursery is available for those
children under the age of three.
ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
Sunday School Guide Class will meet in the Consistory Room. Join
them for lively discussions relating to our Christian walk.
“Faith in the Cinema” – This class will NOT meet today.
“Daniel – Spiritual Living in a Secular World” – Meet in Kia’s office.

NEXT SUNDAY Dr. Marv VanderVliet, Youth Guidance Director for Youth
for Christ, will lead our service and share the message. We will
celebrate with our GEMS as they take part in our service. The Special
Offering for the month of April is designated for the GEMS
ORGANIZATION. This special offering will be received then!

6:00 PM MUSIC APPRECIATION – All our music groups will participate!
The choir of Faith Reformed Church will also be a part of the
program. The men and women from the Veterans Home will be our
special guests. Plan now to attend!

 PRAYERS & PRAISE

HEALTH CONCERNS – Dorothy Church is now at Holland Home –
Breton Manor, 2589 – 44th Street after being hospitalized earlier.
Henrietta Te Ronde was hospitalized earlier in the week with
pneumonia. See the Prayers & Praise Line for other prayer concerns.

 MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS – Scholarship applications are available on the
counter in the office. Completed applications can be placed in an
envelope and left on the desk in the main office. Due date is May 4.
Call the office if you have any questions.

THE METROPOLITAN CHOIR OF PRAISE will perform their Spring Concert
at 1st Jenison CRC tonight at 8 PM. Everyone is invited.

GOLF OUTING – SATURDAY, MAY 17 at the Pines Golf Course. Tee time is
2:00 pm. Potluck immediately following at the course. Sign up in
the narthex!

PARENTS OF OUR YOUTH – Does your child play sports, dance, or some
other extra circular activity? Drop off a schedule or a calendar of
events on Darrell’s desk! He would love to support your kids in their
endeavors!!

POWER LAB VBS June 9 - 13! VOLUNTEER SIGN UP’S ARE NOW TAKING
PLACE! Can you help as a Crew Leader, Crafts, Set Up, Registration,
Games, Drama …there is a spot for everyone! Check out the list of
volunteer needs on the narthex table and find something that fits for

FOOD DONATIONS NEEDED for VBS – This year as in years past we are
asking for donations for the VBS snack. On the narthex table is a list
of items needed. Sign up if you can help out with a donation!

“SCHOOL KITS” Service Project for children in impoverished schools,
refugee camps, and other difficult settings in the world. You can help
by sewing cloth school bags and purchasing the specific needed
school items. See the yellow flyer on the table in the narthex for
exact details. This project will end in October so you will have plenty
of time to find sales so that we can fill the bags that are presently
being sewed.

TWIN STAR STAINLESS SILVERWARE…We are in search of this particular
pattern to replace the many missing pieces in our church kitchen. If
anyone would like to donate pieces that they may have or if you know
anyone who may have this pattern and be willing to donate, please
call Joan Patterson at 538-7199.

GRACE GARAGE SALE MAY 16 – 17 TO BENEFIT RICK & LAURA
MARSHALL’S ADOPTION EFFORTS. Donations gratefully accepted!
Please set aside any items you no longer need for this fundraiser.
You can drop off your items at church in the marked classrooms in
the Discovery Kids hallway downstairs. Call Rick or Laura at 364-
3122 if you have any questions.

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER – Thursday, May 1 Calvary CRC
(3500 Byron Center Ave., Wyoming) is hosting a National Day of
Prayer Service on Thursday beginning at 7:30 pm. Billy Schneider,
author of “Go Ahead: Jump”, an AIDS victim and former heroine addict,
will be sharing his testimony of how God answered peoples’ prayers for him.
You are invited to join them in this opportunity to lift up our country,
community and churches in prayer.
