TODAY AT GRACE

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET.  All children ages 3

 years – 5th Grade meet downstairs by the youth desk.

 

OUR SPECIAL MUSIC this morning is presented by Rowin Mulder

 of our congregation.  He will be singing “Vrede Zij U”.  This beautiful

 song is translated as follows:

SPECIAL OFFERING – Our Special Offering for the Month of April is 

 designated for the Gideons. This offering will be received today.

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will meet in

 the Consistory Room following the morning service today.

6:00 PM MUSIC APPRECIATION SERVICE.  We will honor Paul

 Kerkstra, our Music Director for his 60 years of

 service to Grace Church!  A light supper will be

 served following the program.  The Veterans from the

 VETS facility will also be our guests.  Invite a friend

 and join us for this special service.

 

PRAYERS & PRAISE

 

HEALTH CONCERNS –  Please be in prayer for Mary Huizen as she

 continues to heal.  They found that she did break a leg in her

 fall.  She will continue to stay at her daughters home while

 recovering.  For all other prayer requests and praise reports, see the

DATES TO REMEMBER

 

Sunday, June 1, 10:00 am GRADUATION SUNDAY.  We will honor

 our Discovery Kidz Graduates as well as those graduating from High

 School and College. SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FORMS are

 available from the office for all Grace High School Seniors. Completed

 forms are due back to the office by May 11.  If you have any questions,

 please contact the Chairman of the committee, Wes Dekker.

 

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

YOUTH NEWS – Parents, Grandparents, and all other interested

 persons…if you would like to receive news about youth programs via

 email, please email heather at heather@gracewyoming.org

 

DISCOVERY KIDZ needs volunteers for the May rotation.  Still

 needed are teachers for Cooking and Shepherds.  This is only a

 3 week rotation.

 

VOLUNTEER at Food Truck Distribution Site – Teresa Dood has asked

 for volunteers to help distribute food one day a month at Parkview

 Elementary School.  The cost of the truck is covered by a grant, so

 just volunteer help is the only need!  See the list on the narthex table

 and sign up to volunteer if interested.  Questions?  See Bill Ver Hulst.

Congregational Prayers and Praise

 

  • We thank and praise God that we serve a RISEN Savior.
  • We pray for opportunities this week to witness for Him.  Pray that God will guide our words and actions.
  • We thank God today for the children in our lives.  We pray for our Grace Discovery Kidz as they worship today.
  • We pray for Heather and our Y-life kids who will return today from their weekend retreat at Cran Hill Ranch.
  • We are thankful for healing and a return to work for Sandy Gort following surgery.
  • We pray today for Mary Huizen as she heals following a fall.
  • There are many friends and family of our church members that need your prayers this week.  Please continue to pray for Lola De Young and her parents Matt & Lindsey.  Also, Barb, friend of Della Sawyer, undergoing chemotherapy, Rose Borkowski, mother of Anna, who has discovered a tumor in her throat and Julie, friend of Anna, whose husband has brain cancer; Marie Mc Donald, friend of Esther Hoag, who has cancer; and Caitlin, friend of Abbey Licari, diagnosed with Leukemia.
  • We pray for all those who are serving in the military.  Continue to keep Amie Pierce in your prayers as she is stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas. 
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mr. Ralph Bolt, Mrs Tena DeVink, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs Miriam Schrotenboer, Mrs Ruth Ver Merris.
