in the front of the sanctuary following the service this morning.


 TODAY AT GRACE

THIS MORNING we welcome Shawn Gerbers to our pulpit! Shawn is a
Graduate of Hope College and is now a student at Western
Theological Seminary and a member of our congregation!


CHILDREN & WORSHIP
Children ages 3 & 4 years meet in Fellowship Hall with
Worship Leaders Jennifer Elkowitz and Chelsea Boeve.
Children K – 2nd Grade meet in the choir room with
Worship Leader Amy Grimm and Heather Dood.

11:20 AM–12:20 PM SUNDAY SCHOOL - There are classes available for
all ages three years old and upward. A nursery is available for those
children under the age of three.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
Sunday School Guide Class will meet in the Consistory Room. Join
them for lively discussions relating to our Christian walk.
Songs and Psalms – This class will NOT meet today. You are invited
to join the Sunday School Guide Class.
You Were Shaped For Serving God – Meet at the Crossing.

6:00 PM GRACE GIFTED – EVERYONE IS INVITED! Grace Gifted will be
held at the Crossing. There will be a few changes! The most
significant change will be that there will be fewer gifts displayed, as
we are trying to turn this into a more contemporary service. There
will be a lively worship time and a relevant Gospel message preached
by Darrell Delaney. We will not have an evening Chapel service.

 PRAYERS & PRAISE

HEALTH CONCERNS – Jan VanWyk was discharged Friday and will undergo rehab

at St. Joe's in Ann Arbor.  Deb Pierce will undergo outpatient foot surgery tomorrow at
Spectrum South Pavilion. Phyllis Vander Sloot will undergo
outpatient surgery Friday, May 4 at Blodgett Hospital. Please keep
these persons and their families in your prayers as well as those
listed on the Prayers & Praise Line in your bulletin today.

6:45 PM THE FIRST CO-ED SOFTBALL GAME will be
held at the Knights of Columbus Field (5830 Clyde
Park). Players please arrive 30 minutes early.

9:00 – 11:00 AM ADIC at the Crossing. Come and share a cup of
coffee and a donut!
3:30 – 5:30 PM CLUB 3:16 FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
4:30 PM PRAYER MEETING in Pastor Rick’s office.

 NEXT WEEK – MAY 6, 2007
 GEMS SUNDAY

NEXT SUNDAY Our GEMS will take part in our morning service. Pastor
Rick will share the message “DISCIPLINED AND DELIGHTFUL”.
Our SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of April is designated for the
GEMS Organization. This special offering will be received next
Sunday.

6:00 PM MUSIC APPRECIATION SERVICE. All our music groups will
participate! The men and women from the Veterans Home will be
our special guests. This is always a very special service. Plan to
attend!

 MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

GEMS – Overnighter at the Crossing May 4-5! See your leaders for info.

MISSION & OUTREACH TEAM – next meeting is May 8, 7:30 pm.

FAMILY DINNER AND BOWLING NIGHT – Saturday, May 19. Meeting at a
downtown restaurant and bowling. Details to come - Save the date!

GRACE HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS – SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS are
available! Call the office (538-3100) and one will be sent to you!

NEEDED! VBS DECORATING ITEMS! Please check out your basements,
garages, etc for items we can use to decorate for VBS this year. Some
items needed are: painter’s canvas, styrofoam, poster boards,
shovels, crates, milk crates, plastic pool, pottery, baskets, treasure
chests, lawn chairs, thick rope, blankets….On the narthex table is a
picture of the look we will be attempting to copy! Please sign up if
you have any of these items available (they will be returned to you).
You can bring your items to church and put them in the classroom
downstairs marked for VBS. ALSO…FOOD ITEMS that will be
needed for the snack are listed on the narthex table. Any donations
would be greatly appreciated!

CHANGE FOR ALASKA – Remember to drop your coins and dollars in the
Alaska Change jars in the narthex! Instructions are in the narthex.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY - If you would like to help build the local RCA
sponsored Habitat home, fill in one of the forms on the table in the
narthex. There are times in April, May, or June. Please sign the
board that is setting by the sound system in the sanctuary….this
board will be built right into the home itself.

JOIN THE DIG AT The Quest for Truth - June 11-15! At Quest for Truth we
travel to Holy Land sites to uncover evidence that shows the truth
about Jesus. VOLUNTEERS are needed especially for the BIBLE
CHALLENGE (the activity that comes after the Bible lesson). See
Darrell or sign up in the narthex.

CROP FOR THE CURE – Saturday, May 12 from 11 am – 10 pm at Grace.
Cost is $25.00 per person or scrap with your “Bosom Buddies”
4 tickets for only $80. Your ticket includes lunch, dinner, snacks and
1 raffle ticket the day of the event. Each cropper wearing pink will
get a free raffle ticket at the door! Please RSVP to Christy Kleymeer
no later than May 5.
