TODAY AT GRACE

 

TODAY WE WELCOME Rev. Harry Koops to our pulpit.  Originally

 from West Michigan, Rev. Koops most recently served in Platte,

 South Dakota.  He and his wife Beth returned to our area following  

 his retirement last November.  We welcome you and thank you for

 being with us on this Lord’s day.

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ will meet.  All kids ages 3

 years – 5th grade meet downstairs by the youth desk.

 

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of April is designated for

 World Renew.  This is a combined endeavor of the Reformed Church

 (RCWS) and Christian Reformed Church to join with communities

 around the world to renew hope, reconcile lives, and restore creation.

 This special offering will be received today.

 

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS meets in the Consistory room

 following the worship service.  They cover scriptural lessons from

 both the old and new testament.  If you have not tried this class, this

 would be a good time to start!

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.

 

6:00 PM MUSIC APPRECIATION SERVICE.  The Grace Choir,

 Praise Team, and Women’s Chorus as well as the Chancel Choir from

 Beverly will have a part.  There will be special music and time for

 congregational singing!  The Veterans from the GR Home for

 Veterans will be our special guests along with a musical tribute in

 their honor. Refreshments will be served following the program.

 Beginning next Sunday, our evening service will be held at Faith  

 Reformed Church.  Rev. Harvey Hertz will continue to lead the

 service and share the messages. 

 

THE TRANSITION TEAM will meet in the Chapel next Sunday,

 May 7, following the morning worship service.

 

PRAYERS AND PRAISE

HEALTH CONCERNS:  Brent Kerkstra is now at Heartland Health

 Center at East Beltline and Burton.  Please continue to keep Brent and

 Paul in your prayers.  For all other praise reports and prayer concerns,

Prayers & Praise Line

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We thank God today for the gift of music.  For our Choir and Praise Team, organists, pianists, and keyboardist!  We appreciate your contributions to our service each week.
  • We pray today for Rev. Harry Koops as he leads our service and shares the message.
  • We pray today for our children in Discovery Kidz.  May they all come to know and love Jesus.  We pray for Heather as well as all the volunteers who give of their time each week. 
  • We thank God for the ministry of Connections.  We pray for Pastor George as he leads them each week and as they transition over to Calvary for their Thursday evening dinners.  We thank God for the lives that are touched by this ministry.
  • Please be in prayer for Lillian Vander Veen following heart surgery.
  • Remember Tom Cook in your prayers as he seeks the best treatment moving forward.  We pray for peace and understanding.
  • Continue to remember Brent Kerkstra in your prayers.  We pray for healing and a return to complete health and strength. 
  • Please continue to remember our Grace members and members of their families who are in need of healing, comfort, and strength.  Esther Hoag; Char Otto; Shirley De Bruin; Janet, sister of Wes Dekker; Lana, granddaughter of Ken & Cindy Wylie.
