OUR MINISTRY OF MUSIC this morning is presented by Mr. John Bult.
John is a member of Calvary Church and also sings with the
Metropolitan Choir. We welcome you and thank you for coming and
sharing your musical talents with us today.
THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE will meet in Pastor Rick’s office immediately
following the service this morning.
THE SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will meet in the Consistory Room.

NEXT SUNDAY – AUGUST 20, 2006
NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will lead us in worship. We will have a special
Commissioning Service for Darrell Delaney and Nikki Probst.
DINNER WILL BE SERVED following the service to celebrate this
CHOIR MEMBERS – meet at 9:40 am next Sunday to practice and sing
during the morning service.
PRAYERS & PRAISE
HEALTH CONCERNS – Please keep the Tacoma’s in your prayers. Ruth
will finish up her radiation treatments on Thursday, August 17 and
Bill will undergo surgery on Friday, August 18 at Blodgett Hospital.
Bill is expected to be hospitalized for 3-5 days. Jim Friar returned to
his home on Tuesday following a brief stay at Brookcrest for rehab.
Please keep Jim & Ila in your prayers as Jim continues with rehab
and will be unable to drive for 6 months. Please be in prayer for
Rick Marshall who has come down with shingles. See the Prayers &
Praise Line inserted in your bulletin today for all the Prayer
Requests and Praise Reports.
OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHIES are extended to Darrell & Kia Delaney and
sisters, Keysha, Keonna & Tishana, upon the every unexpected
death of Kia’s father, William Weaver, at the age of 53 in Ypsilanti,
MI. Services will be held Tuesday at the Second Baptist Church of
Ypsilanti. (Cards can be sen to the Delaney’s at 1512 Margaret Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49507)
IN APPRECIATION – Thank you to the Grace congregation for the
prayers, cards, and other acts of kindness following my recent
accident and recovery. ~Pam Hoezee
ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE? THE ALASKA CHALLENGE THAT IS!
On July 21 – 31, 2007 a group of Grace Reformed Church high
school students, college students, and adults will be traveling to
ALASKA for a Spiritual & Leadership Development trip. If you
are being led to participate in this trip, a mandatory informational
meeting will be held in September. Please see Shari Dood or
Ray or Robin Zondervan for further information.
MEN! A group from Grace will be attending the PROMISE KEEPERS
CONVENTION September 15 & 16 at the Van Andel Arena. There is
still room for YOU! See Ray Zondervan if you would like to join the
group or if you have any questions.
FALL PLANS ARE UNDERWAY. Is there a spot you would love to be
involved in? Our children need teachers for Sunday School,
Wednesday night programs, Children & Worship and more…Pray
about it and sign up to help where you feel needed! See Darrell if you
have any questions!
THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of August is designated for Local
Outreach at Grace. Funds are needed to offset Vacation Bible
School and Fiesta Reunion costs. We were able to reach 184 children
with the Gospel this year and we had many parents here for the
dinner on Friday, but with increased numbers, meals, and events
comes increased cost, so we are presenting this need to you!
THE NEXT GALAXY will soon be published. Articles are due August 22nd.
