HEALTH CONCERNS – Judy Klein will undergo surgery tomorrow at
Blodgett hospital. See the Prayer and Praise Line for all the prayer
requests and praise reports.
OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHIES are extended to Khoun & Hon Tran and
family upon the death of Khoun’s mother this past week. Services
were held on Friday.
OUR SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of August is designated for
FAMILY NETWORK OF WYOMING. Due to the fact that children are not
in school and receiving free meals, often the pantry is busier in the
summer months. This special offering will be received on Aug. 29th.
AN OPPORTUNITY – During August 15-21 area churches will be doing an
“Extreme Church Makeover” on Emmanuel Hispanic CRC on
36th Street in Wyoming. If you are interested in helping in some way,
pick up a flyer on the table in the narthex. There is a phone number
there, or contact Shari and possibly we can help as a group.
UPDATE ON THE SCHOOL BAG PROJECT: Thank you for all the school
supplies that you have turned in already! Our goal is to fill 200 bags.
Everything that is here has been counted and we promised to let you
know our greatest needs. Presently all the items listed are still
needed, except for erasers. Of these remaining items, the greatest
need is for pencils, scissors, and notebooks. Keep watching for sales!
Bring the requested school supplies to church.
Each bag will contain the same school supplies:
One pair of blunt scissors (rounded tip)
Three 70-count spiral or tape-bound pads of 8” X 10 ½” ruled paper or pads with
200-210 sheets of ruled paper (Please do not provide loose-leaf or filler paper)
One 30-centimeter ruler (12” )
One hand-held pencil sharpener
One large eraser (Presently we have enough erasers!)
Six new pencils with erasers
One box of 24 crayons (only 24)

We praise God for the birth of Charles Matthew Camp, newborn grandson of Pastor Rick & Donna.
Charlie was born on Tuesday, August 10 weighing 7#, 5 oz. and 20” long. Proud parents are Matt & Sheri Camp.
Please be in prayer for the girls division of Youth for Christ. They are in negotiations with Coit Community Church
to secure a meeting place for the girls similar to the Crossing where the boys meet with Pastor Marv Vander Vliet on Monday nights.
Please pray for Connie Maile, sister of Jim Emelander, who is battling cancer.
Pray for Heather Dood and the plans for the fall Children’s Programs.
Pray for the leadership for Club 3:16, for the plans being made.
