11:45 am DISCOVERY KIDZ FAMILY COOKOUT! All Discovery Kidz and
their families are invited for an afternoon of food and fun. Please
bring a dish to share. Meat & Beverage will be provided.

OUR SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of August is designated for
FAMILY NETWORK OF WYOMING. Pantries appreciate cash donations
because it enables them to purchase perishable items, such as meat,
at a reduced cost from Feeding America. This special offering will be
received next Sunday.


Sunday, September 12 FALL KICK OFF LUNCHEON following the
morning worship service. Lunch, games for the kids…sign up in the
narthex today!


HEALTH CONCERNS – Fay De Jong will undergo hip replacement
surgery at Blodgett Hospital on Thursday, Aug. 26. She is expected
to be hospitalized approximately 3 days. See the Prayer and Praise
Line for all the prayer requests and praise reports.

WE WELCOME Rev. George Grevenstuk to our staff as the new Director of
Club 3:16! Please keep Pastor George in your prayers as he begins
preparations for the upcoming year of Club!

IN APPRECIATION – Thank you to Pastor Rick and the Grace
congregation for the prayers and kindness shown after the passing
of our mother and grandmother.

CONGRATULATIONS are extended to Darrell & Kia Delaney upon the birth
of a son, Tristan Alexander, born August 12th. The Delaney’s address
is 76 East 13th Street – Apt. 4, Holland, MI 49423.


DISHES are accumulating in the Kitchen! If you have missing dishes,
check out the kitchen…especially if you have brought cookies for
fellowship time this summer.

DISCOVERY KIDZ – Discovery Kidz will not meet on the Sunday of Labor
Day weekend, September 5th.

UPDATE ON THE SCHOOL BAG PROJECT: We have almost completed our
200 school bags! At our last count, to complete the 200 school bag
goal, we are in need of 20 rulers, 174 pencils, 45 pencil sharpeners,
80 scissors, and 66 notebooks! If more items are turned in, we will
fill more bags or make items available to our own Club 3:16 youth, so
if you want to continue bringing in supplies, please do so…we will
collect them through September 5. Thank you so much!

COMING! FOOD DRIVE COLLECTION: September 12 – October 3 we will
collect food (non-perishable) items, personal care products, cleaning
supplies, and paper products for the County Wide Food Drive which
will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010. More details to come, but
if you see big sales, pick up a few items early!
