THANK YOU to Ray Zondervan of our congregation for his music

 ministry today!

 

OUR SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of August is designated for

 Western Seminary. This offering will be received this morning.

 

CLUB 3:16 VOLUNTEERS – A special meeting will be held after the

 morning worship service for all Club 3:16 volunteers and anyone who

 may be interested in helping out this year. Meet in the Consistory

 Room.

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George and Connections.

NEXT WEEK Rev. Harvey Heneveld will lead our morning worship

 service and share the message. There will be no Discovery Kidz next

 Sunday. Children are invited to worship with their parents in the

 Sanctuary. There will be a combined evening service held at Unity

 Reformed Church. This service will begin at 5:00 pm.

Sunday, September 15 FALL KICK OFF! Plan to join us as we kick off

 the fall season with an all dinner following the morning service. We

 will have great food and lots of fun and games for the kids!

THE NEXT GALAXY will soon be published. Please have your

 announcements in to Pat Ter Beek or Sandy Gort by Wednesday,

 September 4. You may also place your announcements in the bin

 attached to the file cabinet in the office.

 

PRAYER MARATHON – We will hold a 24 hour Prayer Marathon on

 Monday, September 9 for Shawn Keener, UCOM Program Director,

 who has been diagnosed with cancer. A sign up sheet is on the

 narthex table for all those who would like to participate.

 

URGENT NEED Once again the FNOW Pantry is running low on  

 Toilet Paper. Throughout the rest of the summer we are asking you to

 consider helping with this need….just bring a pack to church & we will

 deliver it to the pantry! Thank YOU!

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We thank and praise God for his beautiful creation and for time away to enjoy it that beauty with family and friends.
  • As plans are being made, please be in prayer for our fall programs and events!
  • We praise God for continued healing in the lives of Bill Ver Hulst and Joan Patterson.
  • Remember Mac Mc Alary in your prayers as well as Mary and the family. 
  • Please pray for Rita Oppenhuizen, mother of Pastor Rick, who is now at Mary Free Bed for rehab following a stroke.
  • Also remember Pastor Rick and Donna’s brother in law, Art Radlicki, of Escanaba, in your prayers as he recovers from a car accident.
  • Please pray for Shawn Keener who is battling cancer. Shawn is the Program Director at UCOM and we have worked closely with her during our ACCESS Food Drives here at Grace. Sign up today to be a part of the 24 hour prayer marathon. 
  • Continue to be in prayer for Lola De Young and her parents, Matt & Lindsey. 
  • We thank and praise you God for your healing powers, for your comfort and assurance of your love for us.
  • Continue to keep Amie Pierce in your prayers as she is stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas.
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mr. Ralph Bolt, Mrs Tena DeVink, Mrs. Jane Duthler, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs Miriam Schrotenboer, Mrs Ruth Ver Merris.
