9:50 am – 11:15 am DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET. All children ages 3 years –
5th Grade meet downstairs for your very own service.

TODAY WE WELCOME Rev. Vern Hoffman, Ministry representative of
Western Seminary to our morning worship service.

OUR MINISTRY OF MUSIC TODAY is presented by Elizabeth, Brittany, and
Katherine De Lange. The girls attend Corinth Reformed Church and
are the granddaughters of Wes & Linda Lowing. Thank you
Elizabeth, Brittany, and Katherine for being with us and blessing
us with your music today!

OUR SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of August is designated for
FAMILY NETWORK OF WYOMING. Pantries appreciate cash donations
because it enables them to purchase perishable items, such as meat,
at a reduced cost from Feeding America. See the letter to our
Deacons that is included with the bulletin today for more
information. This special offering will be received this morning.

A COMMUNION SERVICE for those who were unable to partake last week
will be held in the chapel immediately following the morning service.


NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Scott Crane will lead our morning service and
share the message. There will not be an evening service at Grace,
however, you are invited to Unity Reformed Church, 4450
Poinsettia, Kentwood for a combined evening service, which will
begin at 5:00pm.

DISCOVERY KIDZ – Discovery Kidz will not meet next Sunday. Kids,
plan to join your parents for worship in the sanctuary!


Sunday, September 12 FALL KICK OFF LUNCHEON following the
morning worship service. Lunch, games for the kids…sign up in the
narthex today!

Sunday, September 19 THE SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will begin.


HEALTH CONCERNS – Fay De Jong underwent hip replacement
surgery at Blodgett Hospital on Thursday, Aug. 26. Keep Bonnie
Harmsen in your prayers as she has been diagnosed with cancer and
is considering treatment options. See the Prayer and Praise Line for
all the prayer requests and praise reports.

IN APPRECIATION – To my Grace family, Thank you so much for the
cards, prayers, and kindness show following my surgery and
recovery. ~Carolyn Baker

Grace family for the beautiful cards, words of encouragement, and

THE NEXT EDITION of the GALAXY will be published on Sept. 12…perfect
time to put in your plug for fall activities! Please turn in your articles
to Sandy Gort or Pat Ter Beek by Wednesday, September 8. Articles
also may be placed in the bin attached to the file cabinet in the office.

UPDATE ON THE SCHOOL BAG PROJECT: Thank you for the supplies that
you continue to bring in. After the last count we still need 27
notebooks, 75 pairs of scissors, 7 rulers, 45 pencil sharpeners. If
more items are turned in, we will fill more bags or make items
available to our own Club 3:16 youth, so if you want to continue
bringing in supplies, please do so…we will collect them through
September 5. Thank you so much!

COMING! FOOD DRIVE COLLECTION: September 12 – October 3 we will
collect food (non-perishable) items, personal care products, cleaning
supplies, and paper products for the County Wide Food Drive which
will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010. More details to come, but
if you see big sales, pick up a few items early!

We Pray and Trust God

This week praise God that He is always available and that you
can have constant communication with Him through prayer.

 We thank God today for all the beauty that surrounds us.
 Pray this week for Fay De Jong following surgery.
 Praise God today for the birth of Hayden Robert Desmarais.
 We pray today for Lucille Sytsema ~ May she be encouraged and feel God’s presence in her life.
 Praise God for His precious gift of His Son and through Him, life eternal.
 Pray for John De Jong as he undergoes chemo treatments.
 Keep Bonnie Harmsen and her family in your prayers.
 Please pray for Connie Maile, sister of Jim Emelander, who is battling cancer.
 Pray for Heather Dood and the plans for the fall Children’s Programs.
 Be in prayer for Rev. George Grevenstuk and he begins his work with the youth in our community.
