OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHY is expressed to Sandy Workman and her
family upon the death of Nellie Workman, who passed from this life
into glory on Monday, July 28, 2008 at the age of 87. Funeral

Home, with Pastor Rick officiating. Our hope is in the Lord who
overcame death for us and prepares a place for us in heaven!

HEALTH CONCERNS – See the Prayers & Praise Line for all the prayer
concerns and praise reports.

THANK YOU, friends from Grace, for the cards and various means in
which you highlighted our recent 60th anniversary. We appreciated
your serious and “humorous” sentiments conveyed to us. Also, a
thank you to Tymarie Boeve and Terri Stadt for their expertise in
setting up for the Open House. ~Mac and Mary Mc Alary

KIDS AT CAMP – This coming week Kendra Veldheer,

“SCHOOL KITS” Service Project – As you all know, we are participating
in the RCWS School Bag project. (these school bags will go over all
the world!) At this point it appears that we have enough supplies for
the bags that have been sewn, so all school supplies will now go
toward the WCSG Backpack Drive! SEWERS who have not contacted
Shari with the count of bags they are sewing, please do so! Thank
You for your wonderful response to this project!

to this we are partnering with WCSG 91.3 FM radio station to supply
area kids with school supplies (some of these children are our own
Club 3:16 kids.) This “Class Act Backpack Drive” will continue
until September 2. Note: this is an area event so we do not have
to supply a huge amount of supplies…we can help in the amount YOU
want to give. We have a box here at church by the downstairs
entrance doors where you can deposit any supplies that you wish to
contribute. Suggested items are glue, pencils, crayons, trapper
keepers, backpacks, pens, rulers, paper, erasers, and scissors.
On Thursday, August 21 in the evening, Grace has agreed to send
volunteers to WCSG to sort and stuff backpacks with supplies. We
will need some of you to volunteer to help….please sign up in the
narthex if you are willing to help!

GRACE WOMEN – How about a night out?? Thursday, October 9 we are
planning on going to a musical comedy “CHURCH
BASEMENT LADIES”, a hilarious behind the scenes
glimpse at the ladies who work in the church basement kitchen. The

flyer in your mailbox for all the information! Sounds like great
fun…sign up in the narthex by August 10 if you would like to attend!
