 worship with your songs!

IN APPRECIATION – “Thank you to our Grace family for all the

cards, prayers, and visits; and to Pastor Rick for his visits and

officiating at the service for my mother. We really are thankful and

appreciate it very much.” ~Les & Tinna VanWyk and Family

 “Dear Grace Church Family,

It has been 10 days now since Mom went to her heavenly home,

and I wanted to let you know how much you have brought joy to us

right in this time of sorrow.

Specific thanks: To Pastor Rick and Sue for being so responsive

during the hospice, death, and memorial planning. To all who so

faithfully sent cards, visited, and called Mom. To everyone of those

amazing ladies who had any part in providing the beautifully

decorated, graciously served, wonderfully delicious lunch.

Finally thank you for the service itself which, with its hymns

played by Karen, Scripture read & message preached by Pastor Rick,

and the dear people sitting in the pews, was truly a celebration of our

beloved Mom.” Much love, Mary Score, for all of us

OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHIES are extended to James Friar and

family and friends upon the death of Ila Friar on August 1, 2011.

Funeral services were held here at Grace on Friday, Aug. 5, with

Pastor Rick officiating. We rejoice that she has gone to glory with her

Lord and Savior, but she will be missed down here on earth.

HEALTH CONCERNS – Keep Jim Herrema and Louise Grimm in

your prayers as they recover from eye surgery. For all other prayer

requests and praise reports, see the Prayers & Praise Line in your

 bulletin today.

KIDS AT CAMP – This coming week Brielle Wigent will be at Cran

Hill Ranch. It is our prayer that all campers will experience God in a

completely different way during their time away at camp!

THANK YOU from all who helped make our ‘GRACE MARKET DAY’ a

huge success. All the final numbers are still being calculated, but it

appears that about $1,500 was collected from the Flea Market, Bake

Sale, Crafters, and Food Stand. With an extra gift of $500 that was

given, total profits were close to $2,000. Isn’t GOD great?? Again,

thank you from those who are considering the ‘call’ to go to Chiapas!

Eat at 6 PM, but you may come as early at 5 PM.

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will lead both our morning and evening

worship services. The CHOIR will be singing, so choir members

 please come early to practice.

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for August 28 is designated for

CAMP GENEVA. The theme this summer at Camp Geneva is

“Living 24:1”, which is taken from Psalm 24:1 “The Earth is the

Lord’s, and everything in it, the world and all who live in it.” Their

purpose is to remind everyone of how great God is and that

everything and everyone around us is a gift of God!

LADIES DAY at Brower Park – Tuesday August 16, 10 AM

Grace women of all ages are invited to a fun day at the lake. Bring a

dish to pass and your own beverage. We will return somewhere

between 4:00 & 5:00 pm. Sign up TODAY in the narthex!
