THANK YOU!

Dear Partners of the Wyoming Christmas Store,

This past Saturday, excitement filled the Fellowship Hall of Grace Reformed Church as clients of the pantry and persons of the participating churches, who were struggling financially, came to shop at the Family Network of Wyoming’s 2015 Christmas Store! They left with many wrapped gifts for their children as well as ‘treat bags’ for each child….but even more than that they left with joy in their hearts because they felt the ‘love’ and ‘joy’ shown them by the many volunteers who helped them!

We were privileged to have 15 partners to help in the Wyoming Christmas Store this year.  At this store about 128 families, representing 328 children were registered.  At the DeVos Children’s Hospital Christmas Store, we were able to help 77 children select gifts for their parents and siblings.  During these events, about 70 volunteers from all the various churches came and gave of their time and talents!

Words cannot really express our thanks, and the thanks from the families who were blessed by being able to give their children presents that they selected and paid for themselves at a greatly reduced cost.  All this would not have been possible without each one of you who gave of yourself in some way!  Some of you purchased gifts for the store, some came to help set up on Thursday, some worked during the open hours of the store, some helped at the DeVos Children’s Hospital where we used the ‘left over’ gifts to bring a little sunshine to the children who were in the hospital.

Above all, many helped ‘bathe’ our efforts in prayer!  Our goal was not just to help families get presents, but also to show them the real gift of Christmas, JESUS. We trust you also have experienced the joy of ‘giving’!  Hear the words found in II Corinthians 9:13:  “Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else”

Because of your generosity, we were able to be the ‘hands and feet’ of Christ!

We wish you a Blessed Christmas and New Year!

Shari Dood and Karen Besselsen, Directors of the WCS

Family Network of Wyoming Board and Staff
