11:20 – 12:20 PM SUNDAY SCHOOL - There are classes available for all
ages three years old and upward. A nursery is available for those
children under the age of three.

Post High/High School Sunday School Class will meet.
Sunday School Guide Class will meet in the Consistory Room. Join
them for lively discussions relating to our Christian walk.

THE FOLLOWING PERSONS were elected to serve on the Consistory
beginning in January 2009:
ELDER: John Sawyer, Les VanWyk
DEACON: Rick Marshall, Ray Zondervan
The names of the elected are printed in order that any legitimate
objections may be presented to the Board of Elders for its judgment
prior to installation and ordination of these persons.

INSTALLATION & ORDINATION of newly elected Consistory members will
take place on January 4.

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who helped in any way to make the
Wyoming Christmas Store a success! There were almost 100
families, a total of almost 300 children, who had the privilege of
taking part in our store. Many of you purchased several gifts for the
store…thank you for giving! Several of you came Thursday to set up
the store…thank you for giving in this way! Also, lots of you,
including about 75 volunteers from all 11 participating churches and
Family Network of Wyoming, took part in the actual running of the
store last Saturday…thank you for all your time and effort! This
could not have been possible without each one of you!

Another huge thank you to everyone who went to DeVos Children’s
Hospital this past Wednesday! The children who had the privilege of
shopping for their parents and siblings were blessed beyond words.

Please continue to pray that God’s love may be seen in all our efforts
this Christmas season. ~Thank you again, Shari

the Grand Villa in Grandville. All women are welcome! Make
your reservation with Gladys Kessel (878-1101). Today is the
deadline for your reservation!

willing and able to sing around the neighborhood of the church
please come, your voice is welcome! We will meet at the
Crossing at 6:30 in order to leave at 6:45. This year we
have decided to sing to the families of the Club 3:16 kids that
live near the church. GEMS/CADETS…EVERYONE is invited to
come, bring a friend! If you have any questions, see Darrell
Delaney or Heather Dood. No Wed. classes will be held.

NEXT SUNDAY – Pastor Rick will continue the Advent Series “IN THE
WEARY AND THE WONDER” with the message “Let It Be” from Luke


A CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR GRACE – A drive for the Grace Building Fund.
As you know, this building is now 44 years old and in need of
maintenance and improvement so we can continue to share
comfortable worship in this facility. Our goal is to raise $120,000.00
towards these efforts. Extra envelopes are available from the narthex
table. We will have a special time for giving of these gifts on
December 21 & 28. Thank you for your continued generosity and

that there will be no Sunday School Classes or Wednesday activities
from Sunday, December 21st – Saturday, January 3. Classes will
resume on Sunday January 4th. Also, there will not be an evening
service at Grace on December 28th.

CHRISTMAS DAY WORSHIP SERVICE – Our service will be held Christmas
Day at 10:00 am. Pastor Rick will share the message “Are You Going
Home for Christmas?” Our Christmas Offering is designated for
the Grace Mission Fund.

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of December is designated for
The Other Way. This offering will be received on December 28.

THE HOLIDAY GIVING NETWORK needs 700 more Providers! There is still
time to help by providing holiday baskets. 700 Kent County
households are on the waiting list to receive a Christmas Basket.
This year nearly 8,000 households applied for holiday baskets
and/or toys. It is easy to become a holiday basket provider. Go to
the ACCESS website at and click on
the Hunger Initiative. Then at the Holiday Giving Network page, fill
out the provider form and submit it. You will be matched with a
family and receive the information along with a suggested food list
and tips on how to contact the family for the delivery of the food.
Thanks from ACCESS for helping in the goal of meeting each request.

2009 CONTRIBUTION ENVELOPES are in your mailboxes. All
communicant members have been assigned envelopes. If you are not
a member, but would like envelopes, please contact the office.

CANCELLATIONS – When a church service or event is cancelled, the
announcement will be made on WZZM 13, WOOD 8, WOTV 41.
