Hospital. Please keep Tena in your prayers. For all other prayer

requests and praise reports, see the Prayers & Praise Line.

OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHIES are extended to Geri Ruis upon

the death of her brother, Gerald Mastbergen on Sunday, December 11

at the age of 76. A Celebration of Life Service was held on

Wednesday at the Matthysse Kuiper De Graff Chapel.

IN APPRECIATION – Thank you to everyone who gave donations

toward the Chiapas Mexico Mission Trip last week. We hope you

enjoyed the baked goods that you received! A total of $785.69 was

collected. We are amazed at your generosity! Our vision is almost

a reality! Thank you again from the 12 persons going to Chiapas!

WYOMING CHRISTMAS STORE AND

“BEING THE HANDS”

THANK YOU!!!

The 2011 Seventh Wyoming Christmas Store has come and gone but the love and joy will be felt for a long time! Once again I stand in awe of the generosity of all the churches, schools, hospital, and other organizations & businesses (16 total) who gave! Without all the over 1,000 gifts that were donated to the WCS and an additional few hundred adult gifts donated to the DeVos Christmas Store, none of this could have happened! In addition to this, at least 85 volunteers showed up to help at one or both Christmas Stores!

At the Wyoming Christmas Store on Saturday Dec. 10, about 340 children, representing about 136 families were able to be blessed with beautiful gifts for their children. Then at the DeVos Christmas Store on Wednesday, Dec. 14, about 75 children were able to select gifts for their parents and siblings (for free). The joy and tears on the faces of the parents and children at both stores was priceless!

So, thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who gave gifts, who gave donations, who worked as a volunteer, who gave snacks for the volunteers, who prayed for everyone involved! God was in our midst and everyone could see the love of Christ displayed in the faces and actions of all of you!

There were many comments of gratitude expressed throughout these events, but I would like to close with an email Pastor Rick received following the DeVos Hospital Christmas Store…this pretty much says it all!

“My daughter was in the DeVos Children’s Hospital. She was invited to come up and pick out some presents. I was simply blown away by the generosity of those who had provided all of those gifts. There were so many volunteers there who all encouraged us. I specifically remember one older gentlemen who helped my daughter find where all of the different toys were at. I can not come up with words powerful enough to express my gratitude for such generosity and love. As I was walking her back to her hospital room gifts in hand and a smile on her little face, I was reminded of Matthew 25:36 ‘I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ I really hope you know that this outreach is fantastic. I was moved and I know that others there with me felt the same way. I know that God was pleased by the joy that was brought to the lives of the kids and their families.”

I have no further words either! Thank YOU and may you all receive in return the best Christmas ever…….the love of Jesus! ~ Shari Dood
