Prayers & Praise Line

December 21, 2014

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • “Silent Night, Holy Night” – we reflect on the importance of that special night long ago.  Praise God that Christmas holds the answer to eternity for all believers.
  • We thank and praise God today for the gift of music.  We are so thankful for our Minister of Music, Paul Kerkstra.  We also give thanks for our pianists and organists who give some much of their time throughout the year: Ruth Tacoma, Karen Ver Hulst, Lorinda Vander Werp.
  • We give God thanks today for our Praise Team.  We thank them for their dedication and time!
  • We pray for the Christmas Eve service being held at Grace on Wednesday.  We pray that we will have the opportunity to reach someone with the love of God during this special night.
  • We pray for those who are hurting this holiday season.  May they feel the love of God surround them.
  • We pray for the families and children that come to The Crossing.  We pray for Heather as she leads them.
  • Please pray for Pastor George and Connections. We thank God for the lives that are touched by this ministry.
  • We pray today for Lucille Sytsema as she begins the healing process and therapy following shoulder surgery.
  • We pray for Mac Mc Alary at Vista Springs. We pray for encouragement and strength.  We also pray for Mary as she has had some health concerns as well.
  • Continue to keep Lola De Young and her parents, Matt & Lindsey, in your prayers.
  • We pray for all those who are serving in the military.  We think of them during this holiday season as many of them celebrate far from family and friends.  In particular we pray today for Amie Pierce serving in Kuwait.
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mr. Ralph Bolt, Mrs. Tena DeVink,

Mrs. MaryLynn Huizen, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mr. Mac Mc Alary, Mrs. Ruth Ver Merris.

As other prayers are shared, you are invited to write them down and include them in your prayers for our congregation this week. Please keep the church informed of your prayer needs and praise reports.
