Prayers & Praise Line

December 22, 2013

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • “Silent Night, Holy Night” – we reflect on the importance of that special night.  Praise God that Christmas holds the answer to eternity for all believers.
  • We thank and praise God today for the gift of Music.  We are thankful for our Minister of Music, Paul Kerkstra, and our dedicated choir members.
  • We pray for those who are hurting this holiday season.  May they feel the love of God surround them.
  • We pray for the family and friends of Carol Sheets who passed away very unexpectedly this past week.  Carol was the former mayor of Wyoming, and very involved in our community and the work between churches and community in Wyoming.
  • We pray for the plans that are being made to host an Alpha Class here at Grace in January.  We pray for Rowin & Rachel Mulder as they lead this process.  We pray God’s leading as we think of persons we can invite.  Please pray that people’s hearts will be open to our invitations.
  • There are many friends and family of our church members that need your prayers this week.  Please continue to pray for Jennifer Kirkse, granddaughter of Mary Huizen, as she battles cancer.  Also, Barb, friend of Della Sawyer, undergoing chemotherapy, and Jon Stouten after being diagnosed with Crohns disease.
  • Continue to keep Tobiah Wiese, newborn grandson of Betty Holmes, in your prayers.
  • We thank and praise God that Luke Dieffenbach, father of Juel Grevenstuk, was able to come home this past week!
  • We continue to lift up Lola De Young and her family in our prayers.  Pray for healing, strength, and encouragement for Lola and Matt & Lindsey.
  • We pray for all those who are serving in the military this holiday season as many are away from their homes and family.  Continue to keep Amie Pierce in your prayers as she is stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas.
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mr. Ralph Bolt, Mrs Tena DeVink,

Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs Miriam Schrotenboer, Mrs Ruth

Ver Merris.

As other prayers are shared, you are invited to write them down and include them in your prayers for our congregation this week. Please keep the church informed of your prayer needs and praise reports.
