THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of December, including

 Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, is designated for the work of

 Godwin Idogo.  This offering will be received today. 



 NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will lead our service and share the

 Message “What Does it Mean to Fear God?” from Proverbs 1:7,

 Hebrews 12:28-29 and I John 4:18.


6:00 PM EVENING SERVICE we will be meeting at Grace for the

 months of January - April.  Rev. Harvey Hertz will share the message  

 each week.



HEALTH CONCERNS: Denny Bush will undergo outpatient surgery

 on Wednesday.  Mary Huizen was able to return to her home

 at Sunset Manor.  Geri Ruis was hospitalized at Metropolitan

 Hospital, but has also returned to Sunset Manor.  For all other prayer

 requests and praise reports, please see the Prayer & Praise line in

 your bulletin today.



 To our church family: Thank you for your cards and prayers during

 the recent illness and death of our mother Esther Palma.

2017 CONTRIBUTION ENVELOPES for Grace members are now

 in your mailbox.  If you are not a member and wish to contribute to

 Grace Church, please call the office at 538-3100 and we will see that

 you receive envelopes.  Online giving is also available.  If you are

 interested in this, see Robin Zondervan or call the office.


PEOPLE’S CHOICE – Beginning in January, Pastor Rick will be

 preaching your choice of sermons.  Now is your opportunity to hear a

 message on your chosen topic or scripture.  Jot your requests down

 and put them in the offering plate of leave on the desk in the office. 


CHRISTMAS BREAK – No evening worship service will be held this

 week or next. The Crossing after school program will resume on

 Tuesday, January 3. Wednesday activities will resume on January 4.

Prayers & Praise Line

Congregational Prayers and Praise


  • We thank God today for the gift of His son, born in a manger on the first Christmas Day.
  • We give thanks for our families and for special times we are able to spend with them.
  • We give praise to God for our children.  We thank Heather Dood for all she does with the youth groups at Grace and the Crossing.  We pray for Heather as she continues her studies to become a Commissioned Pastor.
  • We thank God for the ministry of Connections.  We pray for Pastor George as he leads them each week.  We thank God for the lives that are touched by this ministry.
  • We pray for those who are mourning the loss of a loved one.  Today we remember in particular the Palma family.
  • Continue to keep Geri Ruis and Mary Huizen in your prayers as they have returned to their homes.
  • Pray for Denny Bush as he undergoes surgery on Wednesday.
  • Please be in prayer for Char Otto.  Char has been experiencing back pain.  Please pray for answers and a relief from her pain.
  • We thank God for his faithfulness to Shirley De Bruin as she goes through Chemo treatments. We pray for strength.
  • Please continue to remember our family members who are in need of healing, comfort, and strength.  Larry Ver Merris, son of Ruth Ver Merris; Jackie, daughter in law of Roger and Phyllis Vander Sloot;  Deb Stouten, sister of Pastor Rick; Brent Kerkstra, son of Paul; Janet, sister of Wes Dekker; Lana, granddaughter of Ken & Cindy Wylie.
