Affirmation of her Faith. Welcome Karen!

MINISTRY OF MUSIC is presented by Barb Halverson, daughter of Lucille
Sytsema. Thank you, Barb, for being with us and sharing your talents
today.

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of December is designated for the
GRACE BUILDING FUND. This offering will be received this morning.

NO EVENING SERVICE WILL BE HELD this Sunday or January 3rd.


 CALENDAR OF THE WEEK

 No Club 3:16, Senior Choir, or Wednesday 
 Classes will be held this week. 
 All activities will resume next week!

7:00 PM DISCOVERY KIDZ TRAINING SESSION for the next rotation,
Noah’s Ark, will be held. See Heather Dood if you have any questions.

 PRAYERS & PRAISE

HEALTH CONCERNS –See the Prayers and Praise Line for all prayer
requests and praise reports.

IN APPRECIATION – Thank you to Pastor Rick for his visits, Ray
Zondervan for his visit and Poinsettia from the church, and the
many beautiful cards received during my recent hospitalization and
throughout the holiday season. Thank you so very much!

 NEXT SUNDAY – JANUARY 3, 2010

NEXT SUNDAY INSTALLATION AND ORDINATION of newly elected Elders
and Deacons will take place. Also, Pastor Rick will begin a new series
of messages: “Road to Resolution.”

 MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

GLASSES LOST! A pair of children’s glasses were lost on the night we
went caroling. If you know of where they might be, please contact the
office (538-3100) or see Amy Grimm.

NURSERY SCHEDULES for 2010 are now being prepared. Help is
desperately needed. Please sign up on the sheet in the narthex if you
can help! If you are already on the schedule, there is no need to sign
up again. Thank you so much for caring for our children.

ELDERS & DEACONS – The next meeting will take place on Monday
January 4. Elders will meet at 6:30 pm and Consistory at 7:30 pm.
This will be for orientation.

2010 CONTRIBUTION ENVELOPES are in your mailboxes. All
communicant members have been assigned envelopes. If you are
not a member, but would like envelopes, please contact the office.

DISCOVERY KIDZ – THE NEXT ROTATION IS the Tower Of Babel, which
will take place Feb 7th- March 7th. Volunteers needed! Sign up on the
sheet in the narthex or see Heather Dood.

SOMETHING NEW IS COMING TO WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE!! Kids you are
not going to want to miss it!!

 We Pray and Trust God

As the year comes to a close, spend some time in reflecting
and reviewing. Ask God to help you learn from each day that
has passed and seek His help in preparing for a new year. 


 Church Plant Prayer Focus

Continue in prayer as we take the next steps.
Pray for the Mission/Outreach Team as they will
be meeting on Tuesday, January 12.


 Congregational Prayers and Praise

 Please call the office if you would like to
 share a Prayer Request or a Praise Report.

 We thank God today for the gift of His Son!
 We thank God for our families and time spent with loved ones.
 We pray for those who will serve as Elders and Deacons of our Church.
 We thank God for those who have been able to find a job in this economy.
We pray for all those still seeking meaningful employment.
 We pray for the health of our congregation. May they be protected from
the many sicknesses going around.
 We pray today for Betty Schuurmans, mother of Janet Groenhout.
Betty is 84 years old and is now under hospice care.
 Please be in prayer for Linda, aunt of Bree Stuk. Linda has
Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She is in the midst of 7 consecutive
days of chemo which will be followed by a bone marrow transplant.
 Please pray for Connie Maile, sister of Jim Emelander, who is battling cancer.
 Keep these friends and family serving in the military in your prayers:
Doug Desmarais, Frank Senko, Matthew Halverson (Lucille Sytsema’s
grandson), Dave Vander Berg, Nick Borkowski.
 Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs Tena DeVink, Mr & Mrs Ade Peterson,
Mrs Miriam Schrotenboer, Mrs June Snyder, and Mrs Anne Hoezee.
