 sanctuary this morning and they are also listed on the back of your

A warm welcome to our visitors and members alike.  We rejoice at the joy Christ brought to the world so long ago.  May such joy live within us as we worship the Lord.  Please take a moment and sign your name and address on the Fellowship Register as it is passed.

 

TODAY AT GRACE

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ will meet.  All children ages

 3 years – 5th grade meet downstairs by the youth desk.

 

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of December and

 Christmas is designated for the Grace Building Fund – Flat Roof

 repair.  This offering will be received this morning. 

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS will meet in the

 Consistory room following the morning service.  All are welcome!

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.

 

NO EVENING SERVICE will be held at Grace tonight.

 

 

CALENDAR OF THE WEEK

 

MONDAY, DECEMBER 28, 2015

 7:00 PM PRAISE TEAM PRACTICE.

 

NEXT WEEK, JANUARY 3, 2016

 

NEXT SUNDAY we will celebrate the sacrament of the LORD’S

 SUPPER.  Pastor Rick will begin a  new series of messages.  See the

 insert in your bulletin today.

 

 Y-LIFE will meet. 

 

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

CHRISTMAS BREAK – No evening worship service will be held

 tonight.  The Crossing afterschool program will not meet this

 week.  They will resume on Tuesday, January 5.  Wednesday

 activities will resume on January 6.

 

ORDINATION AND INSTALLATION of newly elected Elders and

 Deacons will take place on Sunday, January 10.  Also, Heather Dood

 will be ordained as an Elder as required by the Commissioned Pastor

 Program.

 

YEAR END GIVING – Please have all gifts you wish to have credited

 to your 2015 Contribution Statement in today.  Thank you to all who

 have contributed so generously throughout the year!

 

2016 CONTRIBUTION ENVELOPES for Grace members are  

 in your mailbox.  If you are not a member and wish to contribute to

 Grace Church, please call the office at 538-3100 and we will see that

 you receive envelopes.  Online giving is also available.  If you are

 interested in this, see Robin Zondervan or call the office.

Prayers & Praise Line

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We thank God today for the gift of his son, born in a manger on that first Christmas day.
  • We are thankful for the dawning of a new year with many new opportunities and possibilities.
  • We give praise to God for our children.  We thank Heather Dood for all she does with the youth groups at Grace and the Crossing.  We pray for Heather as she continues her studies to become a Commissioned Pastor.
  • We thank God for the ministry of Connections.  We pray for Pastor George as he leads them each week.  We thank God for the lives that are touched by this ministry.
  • Remember Joan Formsma in your prayers following knee replacement surgery.  Also continue to remember Karen Ver Hulst in your prayers.
  • We thank God for the good news that Pastor Rick’s sister, Deb Stouten, was able to return to her home.  Thank you for your prayers on her behalf.
  • Thank you for remembering Wes Dekker’s sister, Janet, in your prayers. Please pray that she will develop, through the Holy Spirit, a positive attitude. 
  • Please remember Marie Mc Donald, friend of Esther Hoag, who has cancer. 
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Lola De Young and her parents Matt & Lindsey.  We thank and praise God that she could come home for Christmas!
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs. Tena DeVink, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs. Ruth Ver Merris, Mr. Jim Friar.
