TODAY AT GRACE

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET. All children ages 3

 years – 5th Grade meet downstairs by the youth desk. 

 

TODAY WE WELCOME MATTHEW COOK to our worship service. 

 Matt is a 3rd year student at Western Seminary. Matt was baptized

 and made his profession of faith here at Grace. He now lives in

 Holland with his wife, Mary, and one year old daughter Emma. 

 Thank you Matt for being with us this Lord’s day.

 

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of December and

 Christmas Day is designated for the GRACE BUILDING FUND. 

 This offering will be received this morning.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will not meet

 today! Class will resume next week.

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George and Connections.

 

NO SERVICE will be held at Grace tonight.

NEXT WEEK, JANUARY 6, 2013

PREPARATORY SUNDAY

 

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will begin a new series of messages

 “RELATIONSHIPS THAT MATTER”. See the insert in the bulletin

 for the details. ORDINATION and INSTALLATION of the newly

 elected Consistory members will be held.

 

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

CHRISTMAS BREAK – Please note that there will be no evening

 service tonight, no activities on Wednesday, January 2 and no Club

 3:16 this week. Club will resume on January 8 and Wednesday

 activities will resume on January 9. 

 

DISCOVERY KIDZ –Beginning in January we will return to the 5

 week rotations of Art, Science, Theater, Cooking, and Games. 

 Teachers will be asked to make a 3 week commitment and Shepherds

 a five week commitment. Please sign up on the narthex table.

 

YOUNG ADULTS – A new small group will begin on Thursday,

 January 10 here at church. Childcare will be provided! Come out

 and join us for an evening of fellowship and growing in God’s word.

 

MISSION/OUTREACH – Next meeting is January 15, 7:00 pm.

 

THE LORD’S SUPPER will be celebrated on Sunday, January 13.

 

NEW WORDS OF HOPE Devotional Booklets are available at the

 sound board and the narthex table.

 

“INN CROWD” CAMPAIGN –Do you have a story to share? Send it

 to the office or email Sue (suestuk@gracewyoming.org) or Pastor

 Rick (rick@gracewyoming.org). We will put them together after

 the first of the year and share them with the congregation.

Congregational Prayers and Praise

 

  • We thank God for our many blessing in the past year and a new year full of opportunities.
  • We thank and praise God for good test results for Allie Mc Elroy!
  • Please pray for all those who have recently lost loved ones and their presence has been missed so much throughout this holiday season.
  • We pray for Matthew Cook as he continues his studies at Western. 
  • We remember in prayer the following family or friends of our members that are ill or receiving treatments: Randy Veldheer, Lola De Young, Brian Benthin, and Orville Hoag’s brother, John, who was just diagnosed with cancer.
  • Continue to keep Amie Pierce in your prayers as she is stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas.
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mr. Ralph Bolt, Mrs Tena DeVink, Mrs. Jane Duthler,

Connections Prayer Focus

 

Connections primary mission is to “Connect Neighbors to God”.

We are seeking the lost, the least and the last for God’s kingdom.

We call it the “Luke 15 Project”. Please pray for God to use our

small groups to that end as we enter 2013.
