ELDERS INVITATION - If you have questions, concerns, joys, or
prayer needs that you would like to share, an Elder will be available
in the front of the sanctuary following the service this morning.

 WELCOME
A warm welcome to our visitors and members alike during this season of Advent.

As we prepare ourselves to celebrate again the coming of our Lord, let us affirm the joy Christ

brought to the world. May such joy live within us as we worship the Lord. Please take a moment

and sign the Fellowship Register as it is passed so we can get to know you better!

 TODAY AT GRACE

CHILDREN & WORSHIP
Children ages 3 & 4 years meet in Room 1 in the Discovery
Kids hallway with Worship Leaders Lisa Braendle & Hennie
Rosema. Children K – 2nd Grade meet in the choir room
with Worship Leaders Jennifer Moody and Samantha
Johnson. You will be dismissed during the offering time.

11:20 AM–12:20 PM SUNDAY SCHOOL - There are classes
available for all ages three years old and upward. A nursery is
available for those children under the age of three.
ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
Sunday School Guide Class will meet in the Consistory Room. Join
them for lively discussions relating to our Christian walk.
Spiritual Warfare in the Old Testament – Brad Class will lead this
group in the Chapel.
You Were Shaped For Serving God – Meet at the Crossing.

6:00 PM ANNUAL COMMUNITY ADVENT SERVICE – This service will be
held at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park, Wyoming. Join us
in this musical beginning of the Advent season. Our choir along with
choirs from other area churches will present a program of praise.

 PRAYERS & PRAISE

HEALTH CONCERNS – Irene Polderman underwent surgery on Thursday
at the Meijer Heart Center. Keep Irene in your prayers this week as
well as those listed on the Prayers and Praise Line today.

THE FOLLOWING PERSONS were elected to serve on the Consistory
beginning in January 2007:
ELDER: John De Jong, Neal Klein, Larry Kleymeer
DEACON: Tim Boeve, Jim Mc Elroy, Eric Postema
The names of the elected are printed in order that any legitimate
objections may be presented to the Board of Elders for its judgment
prior to installation and ordination of these persons.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2006
3:00 – 5:00 PM CLUB 3:16 FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH

6:30 PM THE WOMEN’S CANDLELIGHT CHRISTMAS PROGRAM will
begin with punch being served and a time to tour the festively
decorated tables. At 7:00 pm the program will be presented in
the sanctuary. Following the program dessert will be served.
Hostesses: The church will be open on Monday from
9am – 3pm and again from 6:30 – 9:00 pm & Tuesday
from 9-12 noon. You can come to decorate your table
anytime during those hours.


WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2006
9:00 AM THESSALONIANS #2 BIBLE STUDY GROUP WILL MEET.

2:45 – 5:00 PM CLUB 3:16 FOR HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH

6:45 – 8:00 PM SENIOR CHOIR will meet to practice.
GEMS for girls in grades 1-8. Meet in the Fellowship Hall.
CADETS for boys in grades 1-8. Meet at the Crossing.

4:30 PM PRAYER GROUP will meet in Pastor Rick’s Office.
7:30 PM THE THESSALONIANS #1 BIBLE STUDY GROUP will meet at
the Crossing.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2006
9:00 AM WYOMING CHRISTMAS STORE – All those who are
volunteers report at your assigned time. If you have any
questions, please contact Shari.

1:30 – 5:30 PM MIDDLE SCHOOL ROLLER SKATING OUTING! Meet
at the Crossing and we will go to Woodland Skating Rink.
Admission $4.00/ Skate Rental $2.00 or $4.00.

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will continue a series of Advent messages
“OUT OF THIS WORLD”. Next Sunday’s message is “While You Were
Weeping…God in Galilee ~ Mary’s view of Christmas. LYNELLE PIERCE will
be our special musical guest.

SUNDAYS AT SIX – Join us for the Ray Vander Laan Christmas Video
“The True Story of Christmas ~ Herod the Great, Jesus the King”


 MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

THE ELIZABETH CIRCLE will have their CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON at
Marco’s Restaurant on Tuesday, December 12. RSVP with Gladys
Kessel or Ruth Postema.

MISSION OPPORTUNITY – Grace will take part in another hurricane relief
work trip next spring! We will be going to McComb, Mississippi on
April 21-28, 2007! Reformed Church World Service is partnering
with Southwest Mississippi Recovery Network to send work groups
to help in construction repairs to damaged homes and cleanup.
Check your last Galaxy for more details, or, ask Shari. A sign up is in
the narthex. Please prayerfully consider this opportunity to serve.

CAROLING – The Dood Sunday School Class is sponsoring a church wide
caroling night on December 20th! Dinner will be provided for the
carolers at 5:30 pm and caroling to begin at 6:30 pm returning to
church by 8 pm. Please sign up in the narthex if you plan to attend!

ADDRESSES OF FORMER PASTORS, SHUT-IN’S and those who are
currently ill are available on the narthex table for those who would
like to send Christmas cards.

ALASKA CHALLENGE – Please be in prayer as we proceed with plans for
fundraising for those who have expressed interest in becoming part
of the Alaska Challenge, July 21-31, 2007. If you have any
questions, contact Shari Dood or Ray & Robin Zondervan.

WYOMING CHRISTMAS STORE – All gifts should be in today. If that is not
possible, please bring them to the office by Tuesday.

EXTRA GIFT WRAPPERS NEEDED! Thank you to everyone who already
volunteered to work at the Christmas Store. Upon checking my
numbers with the other churches that are helping, I realize we need
more gift wrappers at the store! Please sign up TODAY in the
narthex for the time slot (s) that are listed.

HOLIDAY BASKETS for CHRISTMAS – Sign up to provide a Holiday Basket
for a family at Christmas. You can provide just the food for a holiday
meal or you may also include gifts. Please respond by December 10.

BEING THE HANDS – December 14, from 9-1 (Volunteers meet at
church). Help by purchasing gifts for the “Being the Hands”
program at DeVos Children’s Hospital! We are in need of gifts for
older youth and adults. Gifts of any amount are appreciated. Please
bring your gifts by December 13. Volunteers sign up in the narthex!
