WELCOME

It is with warmth and joy that we welcome all who have come

 to worship today. May this be a time of encouragement

and inspiration. Please take a moment and sign your

name and address on the Fellowship Register as it is

passed so we can get to know you better.

 

TODAY AT GRACE

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET. All children ages 3

 years – 5th Grade can be a part of the Grace Discovery Kidz! Meet

 downstairs by the youth desk. 

 

DISCOVERY KIDZ will have a full dress rehearsal for their Christmas

 Program immediately following the service. Rehearsal will be about

 25 minutes. This will be the only rehearsal!

 

ELDERS INVITATION If you have questions, concerns, joys, or

 prayer needs that you would like to share, please see Pastor Rick or

 an Elder today. Elders will be greeting at the doors as you leave the

 sanctuary this morning and they are also listed on the back of your

 bulletin. You may also make a notation on the Fellowship Register as

 it is passed today.

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the Chapel

 to pray for Pastor George and the new church start. All are welcome.

 

THE NEW MEMBERS CLASS will meet in Pastor Rick’s office.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will meet in the

 Consistory Room following the morning service today.

 

6:00 PM JOIN US TONIGHT when Pastor Rick will begin a video

 series “The Journey to Christmas”. Follow the journey of five diverse

 people as they experience the Holy Land for the first time. Their

 goal…to discover the TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS.

 light supper will be provided. A sign up sheet is available on

 the narthex table.

 7:00 PM THE THURSDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY GROUP

 will meet in the Chapel.

 

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2011

 9:30 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ meet at church to go see the live

 nativity at the Critter Barn!

 WYOMING CHRISTMAS STORE – If you have not brought

 the gifts you purchased to church already, please do so by

 Wednesday. Everyone who volunteered to help, come at

 your assigned time. If you signed up to bring cookies,

 please drop them off sometime before the store opens.

NEXT SUNDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2011

3rd SUNDAY OF ADVENT

 

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will continue the Advent Series “What is

 God Conceiving?” with the message “The Holy Spirit Who Conceived

 in a Virgin”. The Children will present their Christmas Program

 “Christmas Joy” during the morning worship service. Children,

 please be to church by 9:45! 

 

THE CHIAPAS MEXICO MISSION GROUP is going to have

 BAKED GOODS available to anyone who would like to donate to

 our mission project! When? Sunday, December 11, right after the AM

 worship service! We would appreciate others who would like to bake

 baked goods to contribute to this fundraiser…..if you can bake

 something for us, sign up on the sheet in the narthex or just bring

 something last minute. Otherwise, just come to the library area right

 after the service on Dec. 11 and give a donation & in return you can

 select some yummy baked good item. This is a way to cut down on

 your stress during the holidays…..we’ll bake for you!

IN APPRECIATION – Thank you to our church family for the cards

 and prayers following the passing of Ed’s mother. It is all very

OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHIES are extended to Ann Hoezee and

 family upon the unexpected death of Ann’s Great Grandson, Sean

 Van Duinen on Sunday, November 27 at the age of 21. Services were

 held on Friday at Daybreak Church.

 Children’s Hospital. We are still accepting gifts of older youth and

 adults. Gifts of any amount are appreciated. Bring these gifts to the

 office opposite the Chapel.

 their Christmas Cantata.

Church Plant Prayer Focus

 

Please pray for the members of the Steering Team, Larry Kleymeer, Les VanWyk and

Pastor George as we prayerfully discern God’s plan to unveil the vision of the new church to the folks of the Crossing Community.

 

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We pray this week for all those who will be shopping at the Christmas Store on Saturday. We thank God for the many volunteers who will be working the store, and for the many who donated gifts. May the love of Christ show through our efforts.
  • Please pray today for those who have recently lost a loved one. In particular we pray today for Ann Hoezee and family.
  • Please keep Curt Boes, former member of our congregation, in your prayers as waits for a heart transplant.
