A warm welcome to our visitors and members alike during this season of Advent.  As we prepare ourselves to celebrate again the coming of our Lord, let us affirm the joy Christ brought to the world. May such joy live within us as we worship the Lord! Please take a moment and sign the Fellowship Register when it is passed so we can get to know you!
 
TODAY AT GRACE
 
 
 CHILDREN & WORSHIP
 Children ages 4 – 2nd grade meet in the Fellowship
 Hall today for Children & Worship. 
 
11:30 – 12:10 PM SUNDAY SCHOOL - There are classes available for
 all ages three years old and upward.  A nursery is available for those
 children under the age of three.
 
 ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
 Sunday School Guide Class will meet in the Consistory Room.  Join
 them for lively discussions relating to our Christian walk.
 Grace and the Millennium – Brad Class will lead this group in the
 Chapel.  Today – “Silence in Heaven for ˝ hour”.
 The Sunday Prayer Group will meet in Pastor Rick’s office. 
 
PRAYERS & PRAISE
 
HEALTH CONCERNS – Irene Polderman is at Spectrum Continuing Care
 Center for rehabilitation following knee replacement. Ann Hoezee is
 at Butterworth following surgery on Tuesday.  Katie Kleymeer is
 home and doing well following surgery this past week.  See the
 Prayers and Praise Line for all the concerns of the Grace family.
 
OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHIES are extended to the following:
 Dale & Shari Dood and Jayme & Heather Dood upon the death on
 Thanksgiving of their mother and grandmother, Doris Dood, at the
 age of 82.  Services were held on Monday, November 28 at
 Fellowship Reformed Church.
 
 Jack & Joan Formsma upon the death of their sister-in-law, Jane
 Ann Formsma, on November 23 at the age of 84.  Services were
 held Monday, November 28 at Fifth Reformed Church. 
 
 Marge Veldheer, Ron & Tami Veldheer, Rick & Sue Veldheer,
 Pat Ter Beek and families upon the death of their sister-in-law and
 aunt, Donna de Bres on November 26 at the age of 54.  Services
 were held on Tuesday, November 29 at the Cook Funeral Home of
 Byron Center.
 
IN APPRECIATION – To all the Grace family and friends, Pastor Rick,
 The Sunshine Committee and small group:  Many thanks for the
 prayers, encouragement cards, flowers, visits, support before and
 after my recent knee surgery.  The procedure went well and I am
 recovering well. ~Joan Patterson
 
THE FOLLOWING PERSONS were elected to serve on the Consistory
 beginning in January of 2006:

 DEACON:  Jayme Dood, Brian Gort
 The names of the elected are printed in order that any legitimate
 objections may be presented to the Board of Elders for its judgment
 prior to installation and ordination of these persons.

 6:30 PM  THE WOMEN’S CANDLELIGHT CHRISTMAS PROGRAM will
 begin with punch being served and a time to tour the festively
 decorated tables.  At 7:00 the program will be presented in the
 Sanctuary.  Following the program dessert will be served.
 Hostesses:  The church will be open on Monday from
 9am-3 pm and again at 6:30-9:00 pm & Tuesday from
 9-12 noon.  You can come to decorate your table
 anytime during those hours.
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2005
 2:45 – 5:00 PM CLUB 3:16 for HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
 6:45 – 8:15 PM GEMS for girls in grades 1-8.

 6:45 – 8:00 PM SENIOR CHOIR PRACTICE. 
 
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2005
 3:30 – 5:30 PM CLUB 3:16 for ELEMENTARY STUDENTS
 4:30 PM PRAYER GROUP will meet in Pastor Rick’s office. Everyone is
 invited to join them in this special time of prayer.
 
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 10, 2005
 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM WYOMING CHRISTMAS STORE.  All those who
 are volunteering report at your assigned time.  If you have any
 questions, contact Shari.
 1:00 – 3:00 PM CHILDREN’S PROGRAM PRACTICE.  See Judy Beadle
 if you cannot be there.
 
NEXT SUNDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2005
3RD Sunday of Advent
 
Pastor Rick will continue the Advent series “You Too, Can Be
 Re-Placed”, a series of messages for displaced people. 
 The message “Re-Placed To The Holy of Holies” based on I Kings 8:1-
 13, 54-61;  John 2:19;  Hebrews 9:11-14, 10:19-25 . 
 
6:00 PM CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PROGRAM. The children will present
 “Stranger in the Manger”,  a musical that tells the birth of Jesus
 with the fun use of rhyme.  The special offering for the program is
 designated for the Wyoming Family Network. 
 
 
SPECIAL DATES TO REMEMBER
 
 
Tuesday, December 13, 1:00 pm  THE ELIZABETH CIRCLE is planning a
 Christmas Luncheon at Grand Villa Restaurant in Grandville. 
 Reservations can be made by calling Gladys Kessel at 878-1101. 
 ALL women of Grace are welcome.
 
Sunday, December 18, 10:00 am SENIOR CHOIR CHRISTMAS CANTATA.
 The choir will present “Heaven & Earth Rejoice”.
 
Saturday, January 7 – 2nd Annual FELLOWSHIP BOWLING NIGHT at Clique
 Lanes.  Dinner before…more details soon.
 
MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
NEW MEMBERS CLASS – Some of you have expressed the desire to
 become a part of a New Member Class soon.  We are planning on
 having a class, starting the second week of January.  In the past we
 have held the class during the Sunday School hour for 6 weeks.  We
 could still do this but we are also looking into having the class on
 Wednesday evenings.  Sign up in the narthex.
 
NEW NURSERY SCHEDULES will soon be available.  Many volunteers are
 needed!  Even if you can only help out a couple times per year, please
 sign up on the narthex table!  If you have helped in the past, there is
 no need to sign up again…we will automatically schedule you. 
 
HOLIDAY BASKETS – TODAY is the last day to sign up to provide a
 Holiday Basket for a family at Christmas.  You can provide just the
 food for a holiday meal or you may also include gifts.  See Shari if you
 have any questions. 
 
WYOMING CHRISTMAS STORE – All gifts should be in today.  If that is not
 possible, please bring them to the office by Tuesday (9am-3pm).
 
HURRICANE RELIEF WORK TRIP – If you would like to become part of a
 group to help with hurricane reconstruction, check out the sheet in
 the narthex and sign up.  You will be contacted with more details.
 
ADDRESSES OF OUR FORMER PASTORS, SHUT-IN’S and those who are
 currently ill are available on the narthex table for those who would
 like to send Christmas cards.
 
D & W NON PROFIT DAYS –You can shop anytime December 5-7 at the
 Burlingame, Grandville, or Jenison D & W.  10% of the sales
 generated by our congregation or friends & family will be donated to
 our youth group.  See the bulletin insert today for a coupon to use
 when shopping.  Extra copies are available on the narthex table to
 give your friends/family!
