3 years – 5th Grade meet downstairs for your very own service.

THE SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will meet in the
Consistory room following the morning service.

 PRAYERS & PRAISE

HEALTH CONCERNS – Jim Friar is expected to be at Brookcrest for
a time following surgery on Nov. 23rd. See the Prayer and Praise Line
for all the prayer requests and praise reports.

OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHIES are extended to the family and
friends of Peter Cook who passed away Sunday, November 28 at the
age of 96. Peter was a life long member of Grace. Services were held
on Thursday with Pastor Rick officiating.

IN APPRECIATION – We would like to thank the members of Grace
Reformed Church for the love and support they have shown us in
the past 19 years of service. God Bless. ~Bob & Terri Stadt

WYOMING CHRISTMAS STORE – If you have not brought the
gifts you purchased to church already, please do so by
Wednesday. Everyone who volunteered to help, come at your
assigned time. If you signed up to bring cookies, please drop
them off sometime before the store opens. See Shari if you

 NEXT SUNDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2010
 3rd Sunday of Advent

Join us next Sunday as Pastor Rick will continue the Advent series
“WHEN HEAVEN CAME DOWN” with the message “WHEN
HEAVEN COMES INSIDE US”. Our DISCOVERY KIDZ will
present their Christmas Program “SING A SONG OF
CHRISTMAS!” We will also welcome new members through
Professions of Faith, Re-Affirmations of Faith and Baptisms.

 SPECIAL DATES TO REMEMBER

Wednesday, December 15 – BEING THE HANDS at DeVos Children’s
Hospital. We are still in need of gifts for older youth and adults.
Gifts of any amount are appreciated. Bring these gifts to the office
opposite the Chapel.

Sunday, December 19 – Our SENIOR CHOIR will present the
Christmas Cantata “Thou Shall Call His Name…JESUS” during
our 10:00 am worship service.

Tuesday, December 21, 12:00 Noon – ELIZABETH CIRCLE will meet
for a Christmas lunch at the GrandVilla in Grandville. Please RSVP
to Gladys Kessel at 878-1101. All women are welcome!

Sunday, January 2, 2011 - INSTALLATION & ORDINATION of
newly elected Elder and Deacons will take place.

Sunday, January 9, 2011 – The sacrament of the LORD’S SUPPER
will take place during our morning worship service.

 MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

FEARLESS BY MAX LUCADO - Rev. Scott Crane will be leading a
study in January on this book. There are six sessions which will
begin on Wednesday, January 5th. Each session will consist of a five
to ten minute video with discussion afterwards. There is a hardcover
book and a small group discussion guide that participants can avail
themselves of to begin preparation for each session. A sign up sheet
will be on the narthex table for you to indicate if you would like us to
order the book, the study guide, or both.

DISCOVERY KIDZ – The next rotation, “Phillip and the
Ethiopian”, starts January 9. Cooking, drama, games, theater, and
shepherds still needed! See Heather if you can help, or sign up on
the narthex table.

THERE WILL NOT BE A CLASS FOR DISCOVERY KIDZ on
Christmas Day or December 26th. Children are invited to join with
their parents in the sanctuary.

GRACE FAMILY CHRISTMAS TREE – This year we are decorating
our Grace Christmas tree with ornaments collected from YOU!
Would you like to donate a special/favorite ornament from your
family tree? It will be returned to you when the tree is taken down.
Fill out your postcard and post it on the bulletin board in the narthex
to share with the congregation. Questions? See Robin Zondervan.

OUR SPECIAL OFFERING for Christmas Day and also the Month of
December is designated for the GRACE BUILDING FUND.

NEW NURSERY SCHEDULES are being prepared. If you would be
willing to help out in the nursery, even just a couple times, please
sign up in the narthex. If you are already a nursery volunteer, there
is no need to sign up…you will automatically be scheduled. Thanks!

LIVE NATIVITY at the Critter Barn. Imagine what the first
Christmas was like with sheep, goats, and angels. Hands on fun,
photos of Bethlehem, indoors, visit animals in heated barn. More
info on webstite www.critterbarn.org. Cost is $5.00 per person, with
a $20 max per family. Flyers are on the narthex table and downstairs
at the youth desk.

 We praise and thank God for the life and witness of Peter Cook. We pray for comfort for his loved ones and friends.
 Please pray for all those who are helping and those coming to shop at the Christmas store. May the love of Christ show through.
 Please be in prayer for Harvey Steensma as he continues with chemo and radiation treatments.
 Also keep Jim Friar in your prayers as he begins rehab at Brookcrest.
 We praise God that John De Jong has finished his chemo treatments. Praise the Lord for all the blessings and good care he received!
 We think today of Lucille Sytsema. Pray for encouragement and strength.
 Keep Dick & Ruth Locke’s daughter Amee Bekkering in your prayers. Last week she began receiving chemo treatments for breast cancer.
 Prayers are requested for Ruth Ver Merris’s son, Larry, age 55, who has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
 Keep Linda Hoezee, daughter in law of Ann Hoezee, in your prayers as she is undergoing chemotherapy.
 Please pray for Connie Maile, sister of Jim Emelander, who is battling cancer.
 Keep these friends and family serving in the military in your prayers: Amie Pierce, Doug Desmarais, Frank Senko,
Dave Vander Berg.
