  • We thank and praise God for the many volunteers who took part in the Christmas Store yesterday, and for the many people who donated gifts for the children.  We pray that they will see the love of God working through us.
  • Please be in prayer for “Being the Hands” at De Vos Children’s Hospital Tuesday.  We pray for the children who are hospitalized during this Christmas season and their families.
  • We thank God for the ministry of Connections.  We pray for Pastor George as he leads them each week.  We thank God for the lives that are touched by this ministry.
  • Remember Joan Formsma in your prayers following knee replacement surgery.  Also continue to remember Karen Ver Hulst in your prayers.
  • We pray for those who have lost loved ones, especially during this holiday season.  We pray in particular for Louise Grimm and family.
  • Please pray for Ed & Kathy De Ruiter’s niece, Wendy.  She will have surgery on Thursday for a cancerous tumor in her abdomen.  Wendy is a young mom with 2 children at home.
  • Pastor Rick’s sister, Deb Stouten, continues at Mary Free Bed for therapy.  She is still very weak.  Please keep her and her family in your prayers.
  • Thank you for remembering Wes Dekker’s sister, Janet, in your prayers. Please pray that she will develop, through the Holy Spirit, a more positive attitude.
  • Please remember Marie Mc Donald, friend of Esther Hoag, who has cancer.
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Lola De Young and her parents Matt & Lindsey.  Lola was back in the hospital with a few complications this week.
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs. Tena DeVink, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs. Ruth Ver Merris, Mr. Jim Friar.

As other prayers are shared, you are invited to write them down and include them in your prayers for our congregation this week. Please keep the church informed of your prayer needs and praises.

Wyoming Thrive

Wyoming Thrive is a new movement amongst the Reformed Churches in Wyoming along with Home Acres Reformed. It includes Grace, Faith, Newhall Community, Beverly and Open Hearts/Eighth. The group is exploring ways whereby our respective churches can resource one another and support one another. We profess that we are stronger together than separate and, thus, we seek to determine means whereby we can share together in ministry to further impact our Wyoming community with the Good News of Christ.

The first and primary thing we do together is pray. We have committed to meet together quarterly for the express purpose of praying to seek the leading of the Holy Spirit. Along with these prayer meetings, we will also brainstorm how we can share together in mutual ministry.

So far we are collaborating together in these ways:

*Faith & Grace are sharing Sunday evening worship services.

*Grace & Newhall Youth Groups have joined as one and Home Acres

will also be joining with them.

*The Churches have shared in special services together such as

Reformation Sunday, Advent, and Lenten services.

 Future possibilities may include:

*Shared Mission Trips

*Mission Projects

*Sharing of Educational Resources

*A Youth Consortium

*Dinners & Studies & Seminars

*Being supportive of One Wyoming and the Church Plants

*Wherever else God’s Spirit may lead us

Please be in prayer for wherever this movement may lead us. Pray that God will continue to bless his Church through our sharing together.
