TODAY AT GRACE
OUR MINISTRY OF MUSIC this morning is presented by Sue Kurtz. Thank
you for being with us today and sharing your testimony in song.
“A CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR GRACE” – Today we will kick off this fund drive
with a REVERSE OFFERING. We are glad to announce that Peter &
Pat Cook have graciously offered to make up half of our deficit by
years end if the congregation will make up the other half. Special
envelopes will be distributed this morning. Your gifts will be
received on December 23 & 30.
CHILDREN & WORSHIP
Children ages 3 & 4 meet in Fellowship Hall with
Worship Leaders Janna Emelander & Sue Stuk.
Children K – 2nd Grade meet in the choir room with
Worship Leaders Heather Dood and Pat Ter Beek.
11:20 AM–12:20 PM SUNDAY SCHOOL - There are classes available for
all ages three years old and upward. A nursery is available for those
children under the age of three.
ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
Sunday School Guide Class will meet in the Consistory Room. Join
them for lively discussions relating to our Christian walk.

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will continue the series Micah’s Hope with the
message “A Strong Lock on Security”. Our SENIOR CHOIR will
present their Christmas Cantata “Born a Savior, Born a King”.
6:00 PM CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PROGRAM “Tell Me the Story of
Christmas”. Come and hear the wonder and excitement of the

THE FOLLOWING PERSONS were elected to serve on the Consistory
beginning in January 2008:

DEACON: Lon Gerbers, Dan Stuk, Pat Ter Beek
The names of the elected are printed in order that any legitimate
objections may be presented to the Board of Elders for its judgment
prior to installation and ordination of these persons.
CHRISTMAS CAROLING – YOU are invited to join in on the fun
Wednesday, December 19. Dinner will be provided at the Crossing at
5:30 pm. The caroling will begin at 6:30 pm. We will take the
church vans, but depending on the numbers of carolers, additional
cars may be needed. Please sign up in the narthex by December 16!
OUR CHRISTMAS WORSHIP SERVICE will be held on Christmas Day at
10:00 am. Pastor Rick will share the message “A God Second to
None”. Our special Christmas offering is designated for Westown
Jubilee Housing/the Other Way Ministry. We will not have an
evening service on December 23 or December 30. Also, Sunday
School classes will not be held on those weeks.
CURRENT ADDRESSES of our shut-in members are available on the
narthex table if you would like to send Christmas cards.
OUR SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of December is designated for
LOVE INC. We are very fortunate to get many of our snacks for Club
3:16 from Love Inc. This special offering will be received on Dec. 30.
FAMILY NETWORK OF WYOMING FOOD PANTRY has an ongoing need for
plastic grocery/shopping bags, paper grocery bags, and egg cartons.
If you have donations of these items, drop them off in our church
kitchen. Also, volunteers are needed to help grow their ministry.

PRAISES 4 HIM, a Southern Gospel Quartet, now has a CD available for
purchase. As you know, Ben Van Kammen, is a member of that
Group and a former member of Grace. If you are interested in
purchasing a CD, contact Ben or we have some available in the

Praise God for…
• Successful completion and approval of Rick & Laura Marshall’s home study as they are in the process of adoption. The next step has now been taken and their papers have been sent to the US Government for processing
• The music ministry of Sue Kurtz
• The music of the Christmas Season
• Laura Groenenboom (Venenga), oldest daughter of John and Judy
Venenga, after being diagnosed with cancer. She had chemo but it has
come back and now it is in several new spots. She will be starting
radiation and a new chemo drug. Laura has two teenage children,
Jonathon & Ellie, and her husband Dan.
• Wilma Osterink who will remain in Florida to undergo 6 weeks of
• Karen Ver Hulst as she continues to recover
• Ron & Carole Lankheet ~ Ron fell and broke his wrist this past week
and Carole as she continues chemotherapy sessions
• Tarah Fron and the August Team at IICD Dowagiac as they prepare
for an International Trip to Africa
• The following friends and family members with health concerns:
