We are so glad to have you worship with us during this season of Lent.  During this season we are all together in need of diving forgiveness, in need of power to lead a more faithful Christian life.  Whatever led you to our church today, we believe God rejoices in having you in this place.  Please take a moment and sign your name and address on the Fellowship Register as it is passed today.

 

 

TODAY AT GRACE

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ will meet.  All kids ages 3

 years – 5th grade meet downstairs by the youth desk.

 

OUR SPECIAL MUSIC this morning is presented by Tinna VanWyk. 

 Thank you to Tinna as well as our Praise Team and Choir for your

 contributions to our service today!

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS will meet in the

 Consistory room following the morning service.  All are welcome!

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.

 

MISSION/OUTREACH TEAM – A short meeting will be held in the

 Chapel following the service this morning.

 

11:15 – 12:00 BELONGING NEW MEMBERS CLASS will meet.  

 Week 3:  “Belonging to the Reformed Church in America”.  Meet in

 Pastor Rick’s office. 

 

5:00 PM JOINT SERVICE with our Wyoming Churches at Beverly

 Reformed Church to start off the Lenten season.  Note the start time. 

 Rev. Don Van Slyke will be preaching.

 

PRAYERS AND PRAISE

 

HEALTH CONCERNS:  Please keep Tymie Boeve in your prayers. 

 She is out of ICU and improving some but continues at Butterworth

 Hospital.  Pastor George Grevenstuk will undergo Hip replacement

 surgery tomorrow at Blodgett Hospital.  For other prayer concerns

 and praise reports, please see the insert in your bulletin today.

 

REV. BRUCE KUIPER, President of Grace Legacy Builders, will be in

 India and Sri-Lanka for the next three weeks and is asking for your

 prayers. He is preaching on Gospel Shaped Masculinity and is also

 leading many workshops and seminars on Father-Led Family

 Worship.

 3 & 4 will meet. 

WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE!

 6:00 PM FELLOWSHIP DINNER – Submarine Sandwiches are

 on the Menu.  Enjoy dinner and fellowship prior to the

 evening classes!

 6:30 PM SENIOR CHOIR PRACTICE.

 6:45 – 8:00 PM  GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) 

 for girls in grades K – 8th.  Meet in the Choir Room!

 VICTORS – For boys in grades K – 8th

 BE BIG – For Preschool children.  Meet in the Nursery!

 You are invited to Newhall Reformed Church to join with their

 congregation for a Bible study on the Book of Acts.  Rev.

 Daniel Kroeze will be leading this class. 

 

NEXT WEEK, FEBRUARY 21, 2016

 

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will continue the series “You Better

 Believe It!” with the message:  “I Believe in God’s Love for

 Humanity”. 

 

SUNDAYS AT SIX - Pastor Harvey Hertz will lead our service and

 share the message.  Our friends from Faith Reformed Church will

 join us here at Grace. 

 

6:30 – 8:00 PM YLIFE meets at the Crossing.  There will be no

 meeting March 6th due to Genesis weekend.

Prayers & Praise Line

Congregational Prayers and Praise

 

  • We thank God today for his great unfailing love for us as well as the love of our family and friends. 
  • We are thankful today for our church, for Pastor Rick Oppenhuizen and the other leaders here at Grace.
  • We are thankful today for our Discovery Kidz!  We thank Heather Dood for all she does with the youth groups at Grace and the Crossing.  We pray for Heather as she continues her studies to become a Commissioned Pastor.
  • We thank God for the ministry of Connections.  We pray for Pastor George as he leads them each week.  We thank God for the lives that are touched by this ministry.
  • We pray today for Tymie Boeve.  We pray for continued healing and strength.
  • We lift up Pastor George in prayer as he undergoes surgery tomorrow.  May his surgery go well and recovery be swift.
  • Continue to be in prayer for Sally Herrema as she heals and undergoes therapy.
  • Please keep Lucille Sytsema in your prayers.  We pray that the healing continues and surgery will not be necessary. 
  • Continue to remember Karen Ver Hulst in your prayers.
  • Thank you for remembering Wes Dekker’s sister, Janet, in your prayers. Please pray that she will develop, through the Holy Spirit, a positive attitude. 
  • Please remember Marie Mc Donald, friend of Esther Hoag, who has cancer. 
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Lola De Young and her parents Matt & Lindsey. 
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs. Tena DeVink, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs. Ruth Ver Merris, Mr. Jim Friar.
