3 years – 5th Grade meet downstairs for your own service.

THE SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will meet in the
Consistory room following the morning service.

 PRAYERS & PRAISE

HEALTH CONCERNS – Deb Pierce is staying with her mother,
Louise Grimm, as she recovers following foot surgery. Joan
Patterson is doing well following heart bypass surgery on the 16th.
Wes Lowing was hospitalized with what was diagnosed as shingles.
He is now at home but not allowed any visitors. Mary Huizen’s heart
procedure went well on Thursday. Margaret Peterson is now under
hospice care at the Cherrywood Manor in Jenison. Please read the
insert in your bulletin today concerning Lola De Young, daughter of
Lindsey & Matt De Young. See the Prayer and Praise Line for all the
other prayer requests and praise reports.

IN APPRECIATION – Thank you to the GEMS and their leaders
for the visit, card, and special goodies. It is so much

 NEXT SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2011

NEXT SUNDAY morning Pastor Rick will continue the series of
messages “Windows of Hope/Doors of Opportunity” with the
message: “The Next Story (A Contagious Convert)”.

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of February is designated
for TRANSPORT FOR CHRIST, International. The mission is to
lead truck drivers as well as the trucking community to Jesus Christ
and help them grow their faith.

FOLLOWING THE MORNING SERVICE next week a meeting will
be held in the Chapel to explore the possibility of a MISSION TRIP
to Chiapas (Al & Sue Schreuder) in the Spring of 2012. Come to
discuss and give input.

 MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

FELLOWSHIP TEAM BUNCO NIGHT! All adults are invited to a
night of fun and dinner on Saturday, March 12 at 5:30 pm. Following
dinner we will play Bunco! It’s easy to learn, everyone can do it!
Sign up in the narthex to reserve your spot. Main dish provided.
Please bring a salad or dessert to pass.

EASTER IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER! That means that our
2nd Children’s Easter Event on April 23 will be here before you know
it! Many volunteers are needed. Sign up in the narthex or see
Heather.

TOILET PAPER DRIVE – We have collected approximately 750 rolls
of Toilet Paper for FNOW so far!! Thank you so much for your
donations. The collection will go through the end of February.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL – Mark your calendar … VBS will be
the week of June 13!!

THE 23rd ANNUAL HOPE COLLEGE MUSICAL SHOWCASE
will be held on Monday, March 7, 8:00 pm at the De Vos Hall. All the
major musical organizations of Hope are featured on one stage.
Tickets available through the De Vos Ticket Office. All seats are
reserved and $10.00 per ticket. For information call 616-395-7890.

UPDATE ON OUR ‘KAREN’ REFUGEE FAMILY:
This week we were able to clean the apartment. The landlord agreed
to replace all the flooring in the apartment, so their move will not
take place until sometime this upcoming week. Thank you everyone
for all the household items and furniture that you have agreed to
donate! By the time we put everything together, the apartment will
be turned into a “home”.
As a church we will continue to support them as they get accustomed
to our country. Please sign up in the narthex if you are willing to help
transport them to church and appointments that come up. If anyone
could assist with friendship/visitation or do English tutoring (this
could be as simple as reading picture books to Julia) even if it is on a
limited basis, sign up or talk to Shari.

 Pray today for Jae and Julia, as they get settled in their new home. We thank God for the people who volunteered to help clean the apartment, the many who donated furniture and household items.
 We think today of those who are grieving…may they feel God’s presence surrounding them.
 Please keep Lola De Young and her family in your prayers.
 We remember in prayer the following family or friends of our members that are ill or receiving treatments: Amee Bekkering, daughter of Dick and Ruth Locke receiving treatments for cancer; Larry VerMerris, son of Ruth Vermerris diagnosed with pancreatic cancer; Linda Hoezee, daughter-in-law of Ann Hoezee who is undergoing chemotherapy
