TODAY AT GRACE

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ will meet.  All kids ages 3

 years – 5th grade meet downstairs by the youth desk.

 SE, Kentwood, MI  49508) into membership by Re-Affirmation of

 Faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS will meet in the

 Consistory room following the morning service.  All are welcome!

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.

 

SUNDAYS AT SIX - Pastor Harvey Hertz will lead our service and

 share the message.  Our friends from Faith Reformed Church will

 join us here at Grace. 

 

6:30 – 8:00 PM YLIFE meets at the Crossing.  There will be no

 meeting March 6th due to Genesis weekend.

 

PRAYERS AND PRAISE

 

HEALTH CONCERNS:  Continue to keep Tymie Boeve in your

 prayers.  After being at Mary Free Bed this past week she was

 expected to go home on Saturday. Pastor George Grevenstuk

 returned home and is doing well after undergoing Hip replacement

 surgery last Monday.  For other prayer concerns and praise reports,

 please see the insert in your bulletin today.

 

IN APPRECIATION - Thank you to all who called, visited, sent cards

 and flowers and mostly importantly have been praying for Tymie

 and our family this past couple of weeks. We greatly appreciate the

 continued love and support.

 Grace Reformed Church Members:  A heartfelt “thank you” to

 everyone who sent cards, stopped in to my hospital room, etc.

 I had great news this past week that the infection is gone and I

 won’t have to have surgery.  Thanks for all the prayers that were

 sent to God for that healing.  I know He cares for me!!

 You are invited to Newhall Reformed Church to join with their

 congregation for a Bible study on the Book of Acts.  Rev.

 Daniel Kroeze will be leading this class.

 Believe It!” with the message:  “I BELIEVE IN COMPASSION”.

DATES TO REMEMBER

 

Sunday, March 13, 10:00 am GEMS SUNDAY.  The girls will

 participate in our service.  We will take a special offering for the

 GEMS Organization.  The Girls are sponsoring our dinner this

 coming Wednesday at 6:00 pm!  All donations collected at the dinner

 will go directly to our GEMS.  Thank you for your support throughout

 the year!

 Items needed:  bar soap, shampoo, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrushes,

 deodorant.  A box will be placed by the doors for your donations.

Prayers & Praise Line

February 21, 2016

 

Congregational Prayers and Praise

 

  • We thank God today for the precious gift of his son, and through Him life eternal.
  • We are thankful today for the ability we have to give – our time, our money, our talents.  We are thankful today for this generous congregation.
  • We pray today for our Discovery Kidz worshipping downstairs.  May they all come to know and love Jesus.  We pray for Heather as well as all the volunteers who give of their time each week. 
  • We pray today for Rich Mc Coy who is taking over for Pastor George at Connections.  We pray for Pastor George as he begins the healing process.  We pray that he has a quick recovery and can be back at Connections soon. 
  • Thinking and praying for those who have recently lost loved ones.  In particular we pray for Char and Ernie Otto as Char’s sister passed away this past week.  Also Trena Battjes who just lost her niece to cancer. 
  • We pray today for Tymie Boeve.  We pray for encouragement, continued healing and strength.
  • Continue to be in prayer for Sally Herrema as she heals and undergoes therapy.
  • We thank God for the good news that Lucille Sytsema will not need further surgery!  Thank you to all who have prayed for her. 
  • Continue to remember Karen Ver Hulst in your prayers.
  • Brent Kerkstra, son of Paul, is in intensive care at St. Mary’s hospital.  Please keep him in your prayers.
  • We thank and praise God today for Daniel Jung, our former Club 3:16 director.  Daniel has accepted a call and is now the EM Pastor at Stockton Bansuk Presbyterian Church in Stockton, CA which is about 1 ½ hours from his family.  We pray for Daniel and his family as they minister in California!
  • Remember Rev. Bruce Kuiper, President of Grace Legacy Builders, who will be in India and Sri-Lanka for three weeks. He is preaching on Gospel Shaped Masculinity and is also leading many workshops and seminars on Father-Led Family Worship.
  • Thank you to all those who prayed for Wes Dekker’s sister, Janet.  She is doing significantly better and we are so thankful.  We appreciate all those who have been praying for her these past months. 
  • Please remember Marie Mc Donald, friend of Esther Hoag, who has cancer. 
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Lola De Young and her parents Matt & Lindsey. 
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs. Tena DeVink, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs. Ruth Ver Merris, Mr. Jim Friar.
