Prayers & Praise Line

February 23, 2014

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We are thankful for this country we live in that allows us to worship freely.  We pray for the many Christians who are persecuted for their faith around the world.
  • We are so thankful that there are places such as FNOW that can help those in need.  We pray for the director and also for the volunteers who spend so much of their time helping at the Pantry.
  • Please be in prayer for the Alpha Classes taking place. We thank God for the participants, the volunteers, all those who are a part of these classes.  We pray for God’s blessings on their efforts.
  • Lift Phyllis Vander Sloot up in your prayers this week.
  • There are many friends and family of our church members that need your prayers this week.  Please continue to pray for Lola De Young and her parents Matt & Lindsey and Jennifer Kirkse, granddaughter of Mary Huizen, as she battles cancer.  Also, Barb, friend of Della Sawyer, undergoing chemotherapy, Jon Stouten after being diagnosed with Crohns disease, Rose Borkowski, mother of Anna, who has discovered a tumor in her throat and Julie, friend of Anna, whose husband has brain cancer; Marie Mc Donald, friend of Esther Hoag, who has cancer and is facing three different surgeries, John Dekker, brother of Wes, as he is facing sight loss.
  • We pray for all those who are serving in the military.  Continue to keep Amie Pierce in your prayers as she is stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas.
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mr. Ralph Bolt, Mrs Tena DeVink, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs Miriam Schrotenboer, Mrs Ruth Ver Merris.

As other prayers are shared, you are invited to write them down and include them in your prayers for our congregation this week. Please keep the church informed of your prayer needs and praise reports.
