UPDATE ON OUR ‘KAREN’ REFUGEE FAMILY:
The apartment for Jae & Julia is furnished and has truly been
transformed into a ‘home’. It’s amazing how God puts all the
donations together ……and things even match! There is one big
thing that we need really soon…… a VACUUM! If you have access
to one that you would like to donate, please call Shari or the church
office right away! Thursday afternoon Jae & Julia moved in with
their one ‘bag’ from the refugee camp and the donations that they
already have been given since they were here! Pray for them that
they will feel God’s love surrounding them…and that they will be safe
& happy in their new home.
As a church we will continue to support them as they get accustomed
to our country. Please sign up in the narthex if you are willing to help
transport them to church and appointments that come up. If anyone
could assist with friendship/visitation or do English tutoring (this
could be as simple as reading picture books to Julia) even if it is on a
limited basis, sign up or talk to Shari.
