 WELCOME

We are so glad to have you worship with us during this season of Lent.  During this season we are all together in need of diving forgiveness, in need of power to lead a more faithful Christian life.  Whatever led you to our church today, we believe God rejoices in having you in this place.  Please take a moment and sign your name and address on the Fellowship Register as it is passed today.

 

TODAY AT GRACE

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ will meet.  All kids ages 3

 years – 5th grade meet downstairs by the youth desk.

 

OUR SPECIAL MUSIC will be a piano duet by Lorinda Vander Werp

 and Sarah Gillis.  They will be playing the Piano Concerto No 2, Op.

 102 by Dmitri Shostakovich for the offertory.  Also our prelude today

 is a special number with Paul Kerkstra, Ruth Tacoma and Bob

 Moreno.  Thank you to all those who give of their time and talents to

 add to our worship time today.

 

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of February is designated

 for MISSION AVIATION FELLOWSHIP. This offering will be

 received this morning.  See the insert in your bulletin today for more

 information. 

 

11:15 – 12:00 BELONGING NEW MEMBERS CLASS will meet.

 Week #4:  “Belonging to a Worshiping Congregation”.  Meet in

 Pastor Rick’s office.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS will meet in the

 Consistory room following the morning service.  All are welcome!

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.

 

SUNDAYS AT SIX - Pastor Harvey Hertz will lead our service and

 share the message.  Our friends from Faith Reformed Church will

 join us here at Grace.

IN APPRECIATION  To my dear Grace family-  Words cannot

 express my overwhelming thankfulness for all the cards, prayers,

 and words of support since the home-going of my husband, Neal. 

 Also, heartfelt thanks to Pastor Rick for his many hospital visits and

 others who stopped by to offer prayers for me and my family.  I so

 much felt my Heavenly Father holding me in this time of grief.

 STEWARDSHIP”. 

 

6:00 PM  SUNDAY’S AT SIX.  We will be meeting at Faith

 Reformed Church next Sunday.

 

 

DATES TO REMEMBER

 

Sunday, March 13, 10:00 am GEMS SUNDAY.  The girls will

 participate in our service.  We will take a special offering for the

 GEMS Organization.  The Girls are sponsoring our dinner this

 coming Wednesday at 6:00 pm!  All donations collected at the dinner

 will go directly to our GEMS.  Thank you for your support throughout

 the year!

 

Tuesday, March 15, 1:00 pm THE ELIZABETH CIRCLE will meet in

 the Consistory Room.  We will discuss Isaiah 61, Lesson 19 in our

 study book.  All women are welcome.

 

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

THANK YOU to all those who have participated in the AMAZON

 SMILE program.  We received our first check recently in the

 amount of $114.82 for the period of Oct – December.  This is such a

 simple way to earn money for our youth programs.  If you would like

 more information on the Amazon Smile program, pick up a pink

 sheet from the narthex table. 

 

CARING SHEPHERDS – Updated teams and family information

 sheets are in your mailboxes.  If you have any questions, please call

 the office.

 

DISCOVERY KIDZ VOLUNTEERS – March rotation sign ups are

 available.  Please sign up today! 

 

FAMILY NETWORK OF WYOMING is in need of personal items.

 Items needed:  bar soap, shampoo, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrushes,

 deodorant.  A box will be placed by the doors for your donations.

 

MAUNDY THURSDAY – we will be remembering the steps to Calvary

 through a special Tenebrae worship service:  Matthew Walks  

 through the Shadows.  We are still in need of three male readers.  If

 you would be willing to serve in this capacity, please contact Lorinda

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We thank God today for those who walk beside us, through all our ups and downs.  We are thankful for this church and the people who worship here.
  • We are thankful today for all the agencies here in the Grand Rapids area that come alongside people who are in need of services.  We give thanks for FNOW, UCOM, and the many other agencies in town.
  • We pray today for our Discovery Kidz worshipping downstairs.  May they all come to know and love Jesus.  We pray for Heather as well as all the volunteers who give of their time each week. 
  • We pray today for Rich Mc Coy who is taking over for Pastor George at Connections.  We pray for Pastor George as he begins the healing process.  We pray that he has a quick recovery and can be back at Connections soon. 
  • We pray today for Tymie Boeve.  We pray for encouragement, continued healing and strength.
  • Continue to be in prayer for Sally Herrema as she heals and undergoes therapy.
  • Continue to remember Karen Ver Hulst in your prayers.
  • Brent Kerkstra, son of Paul, continues at St. Mary’s hospital.  Please keep him in your prayers.
  • We thank and praise God today for new life.  We thank Him for the healthy birth of Maisy J Stuk, newborn granddaughter of Dan & Sue Stuk, this past week. 
  • Please remember Marie Mc Donald, friend of Esther Hoag, who has cancer. 
  • Please continue to be in prayer for Lola De Young and her parents Matt & Lindsey. 
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs. Tena DeVink, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs. Ruth Ver Merris, Mr. Jim Friar.
