OUR DISCOVERY KIDZ will share in our service this morning what they
have learned during the Noah’s Ark rotation.
CONGRATULATIONS to PASTOR RICK who celebrates 30 years in the
Ministry! Please join in the Fellowship Hall following the service this
morning for cake and coffee to celebrate with Pastor Rick and Donna.

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Scott Crane will be with us and share the messages
at both our morning and evening worship service.
TOILET PAPER DRIVE FOR FNOW – Yeah! We have collected over 300
rolls of toilet paper! That is a great start in reaching our goal of
2500. Please continue to watch for coupons and sales and bring in
the toilet paper for Family Network of Wyoming Pantry before
March 7. Check out the T.P. pyramid in the library area!
MOMENTUM 2010 –This conference will be held at FairHaven Ministries
on Saturday February 27 from 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. Please see
Shari Dood TODAY if you are interested in attending this
conference. Workshop applications are on the narthex table.
THE ELIZABETH CIRCLE will meet in the Consistory Room on Tuesday,
February 16 at 1:00 pm. We will discuss Acts 5 & 6. Use the Study
Guide that has been placed in your mailbox. All women are welcome!
PLEASE HELP US save on electricity. Help us turn out lights, especially if
you are the last one out of a room or the building. Everyone’s help is

BLANKET+ SUNDAY – February 28th. Our SPECIAL OFFERING FOR
FEBRUARY will go to the Church World Service Blanket+ program
which is both global and local. When disaster strikes, people often
need blankets – and much more. Our offering will go to Blankets+,
which is first of all blankets, but includes long term needs like food,
shelter, safe water, tools, training, and other resources. Also locally
we are giving out 300 blankets to the homeless and agencies who
work with the homeless.
A BLANKET DELIVERY will be made on Friday, February 19th. Thom is
taking a group to Ideal Park to bring blankets to the homeless in
that area. We will leave at 6:30 pm. If you are interested in being
part of that group, please contact Shari or Thom.
HELP FOR HAITI - MAKE A COMPLETE HYGIENE OR BABY KIT before
April 11. A description of the contents for these kits is on the table in
the narthex. The value of the kit is listed on the form so if you cannot
make one by yourself, combine resources with a friend! We recently
found out that several area churches are taking part in this so the
transportation is all arranged!

We thank God for the precious gift of baby Hailey Marie, newborn daughter of Autum Beadle and
granddaughter of Judy & Curt Beadle. We pray for God’s continued hand on their lives.
Keep Rev. Randy Weener in your prayers as he travels to do Pastor Training for the Church of South
India in cooperation with the RCA.
Please pray for the people of Haiti and also for the hundreds of rescue workers and disaster recovery
We pray for all those who continue to look for work.
We pray for those who are going through testing or waiting for test results – may they feel God’s
presence during this time of waiting.
Please pray for Connie Maile, sister of Jim Emelander, who is battling cancer.
Pray also for Mark & Barbie Emaus, son & daughter of Joan Emaus. Barbie is expecting triplets on
February 16. The Emaus’ live in Florida.
Please keep Shirley Kleymeer, mother to Larry Kleymeer and Cindy Wylie, in your prayers as she
recovers from surgery due to a broken hip following a fall.

Congratulations to Pastor Rick for
30 Years of Ministry!
Pastor Rick graduated from Western Theological Seminary on
May 14, 1979. While attending Western he participated in two summer internships, one at First
Reformed Church of Sully, Iowa and the other at Calgary Reformed Church of Calgary, Alberta,
His first charge was Church of the Master in Warren, Michigan where he served as Pastor from
February 1980 – November 1985.
From there he went to serve as Pastor at Bethany Reformed Church in Kalamazoo, MI from
December 1985 – January 1998. Pastor Rick was installed as pastor at Grace Reformed Church on
February 1, 1998 where he continues to serve.
We thank and honor Pastor Rick for his service to the Lord and for his dedication to Grace
Reformed Church. We pray for God’s blessings on Pastor Rick and Donna as they together continue
to serve here at Grace and in the surrounding community.
SLEDDING - Yesterday the Discovery Kidz went sledding at Pinery Park! Thanks to everyone who

EASTER EGG HUNT – Saturday, March 27
This will be fun for our kids as well as an outreach tool for the neighborhood. Included will be an
Easter video representing
the real meaning of Easter to the children.
CASTING CROWNS CONCERT – Friday, February 26! All Middle Schoolers are invited to come
along! We are so fortunate to have this concert right here in town at Grand Rapids First. See
Heather today if you can attend.
Vacation Bible School
Note the change in dates of both VBS and the VBS Meeting!
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL will be held
Tuesday, June 15 – Thursday, June 17
On Friday, the family is invited to come for supper
and a time to see what happens at Bible School.
This year VBS is going to be a step back to Marketplace 29 AD.
Many hands are needed to get this up and running.
There will be plenty of areas and an opportunity for all to help!!
On Sunday, February 21 there will be an important VBS
meeting following the morning service!!
Fun things are happening in Cadets!! The boys will meet with
area Cadet groups on March 2 for the PINEWOOD DERBY CAR RACES!
The boys have been working on their cars for a few weeks
now…will we have any winners??
The CADET CAMP-O-REE will take place on APRIL 30 – MAY 1.
This is always a fun time for the boys and their leaders!

They have had a great year! The girls were busy making Valentines for our Grace family that may
be sick or shut-in. At Christmas time
they were able to fill many Shoeboxes with gifts for children in other countries through Operation
Christmas Child. They will sponsor a Wednesday Dinner on February 17th, so be sure to mark that
date on your calendar and plan on a delicious dinner! The GEMS always wrap their year up with a
Sleepover at the Crossing!
As you can see…there is a lot going on for youth at Grace! Thanks to everyone who
has volunteered their time and talents!
