Prayers & Praise Line

February 9, 2014

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We thank and praise God for warm homes, hot food, and the loved ones who surround us.  We pray for those in our community seeking food and shelter in this cold and stormy weather.
  • We are so thankful that there are places such as FNOW that can help those in need.  We pray for the director and also for the volunteers who spend so much of their time helping at the Pantry.
  • Please be in prayer for the Alpha Classes taking place.  Pray for Rowin & Rachel Mulder as they take leadership; Larry Kleymeer, Prayer Coordinator; Heather Dood, Food Coordinator; Pat Ter Beek, Nursery Coordinator.  We pray that lives will be touched through this course.
  • Please pray for John Dekker, brother of Wes Dekker.  John is blind in one eye and is losing cells behind the other eye.  There is nothing medically that can be done, but pray to God for an intervention.
  • We continue to lift up Lola De Young and her family in our prayers.  Pray for healing, strength, and encouragement for Lola and Matt & Lindsey.  There is a great need for blood!  Because of the severe weather, there has been a great shortage, not just for Lola, but for all those in need.  If you are able, please give blood at a local donation center.
  • There are many friends and family of our church members that need your prayers this week.  Please continue to pray for Jennifer Kirkse, granddaughter of Mary Huizen, as she battles cancer.  Also, Barb, friend of Della Sawyer, undergoing chemotherapy, Tobiah Wiese, newborn grandson of Betty Holmes, Jon Stouten after being diagnosed with Crohns disease, Rose Borkowski, mother of Anna, who has discovered a tumor in her throat, Marie Mc Donald, friend of Esther Hoag, who has cancer and is facing three different surgeries.
  • We pray for all those who are serving in the military.  Continue to keep Amie Pierce in your prayers as she is stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas.
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mr. Ralph Bolt, Mrs Tena DeVink, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs Miriam Schrotenboer, Mrs Ruth Ver Merris.
