 PRAYERS & PRAISE

HEALTH CONCERNS – Carolyn Baker is in ICU at Blodgett Hospital.
Irene Polderman continues at Butterworth. John Schoolenberg has
returned to Brookcrest. Henrietta Te Ronde was expected to return
to The Terraces at Maple Creek after being hospitalized earlier.
Esther Hoag is recovering at home following outpatient surgery last
week. See the Prayers & Praise Line for all the other praise reports
and prayer concerns.

 MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

OUR SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of January is designated for the
CADET organization. This offering will be received on Cadet Sunday,
January 27.

MISSION WORK TRIP – 2008 is here so we have a great opportunity for
you to SIGN UP for another Mission Work Trip for the week of
APRIL 20, 2008! This year we are going to Lake Charles in
Louisiana where we will be building a Habitat for Humanity home!
These Habitat builds are still a result of Hurricane Rita, which struck
on September 25, 2005. The RCA is sponsoring this trip so we are
again able to use some of their funds for traveling, accommodations
and food. That makes the cost for each person very small (food on
the way down and back). We will need two days of travel for both
going & coming back (it is 1,180 miles) so we would like to leave on
Friday morning, April 18, and return on Sunday evening April 27.
We could consider leaving early Saturday, April 19, if the group
prefers, but that would give us less time to become orientated to the
job we will be doing. Please contact Shari for more details or just
sign up in the narthex. You will be given more details as they are made.

PRAYER COVENANT PARTNERS – Your prayer list for the next six months
is in your mailbox! Be sure to pick your copy up today. If you are not
already a Prayer Covenant Partner and would like to become one, call
the office (538-3100).

EQUIPPING GOD’S PEOPLE FOR MINISTRY CONFERENCE sponsored by the
Synod of the Great Lakes Diaconal Ministry Team will take place on
Saturday, February 23rd at Orchard Hill Reformed Church. It is an
ideal time for church members and leaders to gather to develop new
skills, stimulate new ministry and/or outreach concepts. Save the
date…more information soon.

CAMP GENEVA is currently accepting summer staff 2008 applications and
will be interviewing over the next few weeks. Some of the positions
include: counselors, lifeguards, kitchen & maintenance. To learn
more call 399-3150 or visit www.campgeneva.org.

BETHANY CHRISTIAN SERVICES REFUGEE UNIT is seeking homes for
Burmese teenage refugees. Room and board is paid for by the State
and medical needs are also covered. These teens have been forced
from their homes due to war and/or a threat to their lives. If you are
interested in becoming licensed to provide foster care, or if you
would be willing to board an older refugee teen in your home, please
