 TODAY AT GRACE

TODAY WE CELEBRATE THE SACRAMENT OF THE LORD’S SUPPER. We
invite all those who are members of Christ’s Church and have found
forgiveness of sins in Him, to participate in this supper. If you are
aware of someone who is not here today, but would like to receive
this sacrament, please contact the church office.

OUR MINISTRY OF MUSIC this morning is presented by Bob Schuyler.
Bob is with an organization called GRASP (Grand Rapids Area
Service Project). He will share with us this morning.

CHILDREN & WORSHIP
Children ages 3 & 4 years meet in Room 1 in the Discovery
Kids hallway with Worship Leaders Lynda Ver Merris &
Elaine Martin Children K – 2nd Grade meet in the choir
room with Worship Leaders Sandy Farris & Erika Wigent.

A COMMUNION LOVE OFFERING will be received for the VANWYK FAMILY.
This offering will help offset the many costs incurred by the family
while Jan is hospitalized.

11:20 AM–12:20 PM SUNDAY SCHOOL
ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
Sunday School Guide Class will meet in the Consistory Room. Join
them for lively discussions relating to our Christian walk.
Songs and Psalms – Brad Class will lead this group in the Chapel.
This week we will look at Psalm 112.
You Were Shaped For Serving God – Meet at the Crossing.

SUNDAYS AT SIX – This evening Pastor Rick will lead` a study of the
Book of Genesis entitled: “NEW BEGINNINGS”. Make it a New Year’s
Resolution to get involved in Bible Study. Here’s a great opportunity
for a new beginning.

LIVING BEYOND YOURSELF-Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit
Women’s Bible Study. Meet in the Chapel.

THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT - Join Pastor Vern Hettinga as he
continues a study of the Spirit Fruit as found in Galatians
5:22-23. This series of Bible Studies will meet in the
Consistory room.

IN DEPTH BIBLE STUDY – Meet in Pastor Rick’s office. We
will explore “Ordinary Superheroes”. Tonight we will study
the life of Caleb. This a class for those who really want to dig
in.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 18, 2007
9:00 – 11:00 AM THE ADIC – SCHOOL SUPPLY GIVEAWAY! Spread

 NEXT SUNDAY – JANUARY 21, 2007

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will share the message “THE LORD IS IN HIS
HOLY TEMPLY” based on I Kings 6.

6:00 PM GRACE GIFTED! EVERYONE is invited to come and share the
gifts God has given you! See the insert in the bulletin today! This
will take the place of our evening service.

 PRAYERS & PRAISE

HEALTH CONCERNS – Jan VanWyk continues at the University of
Michigan Hospital. They are hoping that she can be transferred to a
rehab facility in Grand Haven soon. Lucille Sytsema was
hospitalized this week with an infection following back surgery.
Ken Wylie remains hospitalized for further testing on his
lungs. Please keep all these families in your prayers this week.

CONGRATULATIONS are extended to Ray & Robin Zondervan upon the
birth of a son, Caleb James, on Tuesday, January 9th. Baby Caleb is
in the neo-natal unit at Butterworth Hospital. We thank God for
this precious gift of life and pray for His blessings on your family.

OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHIES are extended to Bill & Henrietta Te Ronde
upon the recent death of Bill’s brother in Texas.

IN APPRECIATION - We would like to express a warm word of thanks to
the congregation for their prayers, words of condolence, sympathy
cards and visits following the death of my father. It is so
meaningful to have your support during life's difficult moments.

YOUTH FOR CHRIST PRESENTS 3STORY EVANGELISM TRAINING. God’s
Story, My Story, Their Story…Saturday, January 27 from 8:00 am to
5:00 pm at Kentwood Community Church. Cost is $20.00 and
includes lunch, snacks, and training guide. Registration deadline is

GRACE REFORMED CHURCH YOUTH MINISTRY VISION 2006-07

MISSION: The mission is threefold:

1. Modeling the Christian life before the youth in order that they may model it to others.
2. Showing the importance of worshipping God in order that Christ may be the Lord of their lives. This will result in others coming to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ because of their example.
3. Challenging them to Godly standards in order that they may challenge others to the same standards.
