TODAY AT GRACE

 

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET.  All children ages 3

 years – 5th Grade meet downstairs by the youth desk. 

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS will meet in the

 Consistory Room following the morning service today.  This class

 covers various subject matter pertaining to our Christian walk. 

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George & Connections, and the needs and vision at

 Grace Reformed Church.

 

6:45 – 8:00 PM Y-LIFE will meet at the Crossing.

 

PRAYERS & PRAISE

 

HEALTH CONCERNS – Esther Hoag underwent outpatient hand

 surgery on Thursday.  Please keep Esther in your prayers.  For all

 other Prayer Requests and Praise Reports, see the Prayer Line in your

 bulletin today.

 

IN APPRECIATION – A sincere thank you to Pastor Rick, Pastor

 George & Juel, and John & Fay De Jong for their visits after my

 shoulder surgery.  Also, a “great big” thank you to my whole Grace

 Church family for the many cards and prayers given during my

 surgery/recovery.  Will be continuing therapy for quite awhile, but I

 thank God for medical personnel, as well.  Soon I should be “as good

 a new” on my shoulder/bicep area. ~ Thanks again, Lucille Sytsema

 1:00 PM - THE ELIZABETH CIRCLE will meet in the

 Consistory room.  We will discuss Chapter 10, Isaiah 36-37,

 in our study book.  All women are welcome!

 3:15 – 5:15 PM THE CROSSING (Club 3:16) for youth in

 Grades 5 & 6 will meet. 

 

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 21, 2015

 3:45 – 5:45 or 8:00 PM  THE CROSSING (Club 3:16) for

 youth in Grades 3 & 4 will meet.

 

WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE!

 6:00 PM FELLOWSHIP DINNER – On the Menu:  Baked

 Potato Bar with all the Fixings.  Come and enjoy a meal and

 fellowship prior to the nights activities.

 6:30 PM SENIOR CHOIR PRACTICE

 6:45 – 8:00 PM

 GEMS (Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior) for girls in

 grades K – 8th.

 VICTORS – For boys in grades K – 8th

 BE BIG – For Preschool children.  Meet in the Nursery!

 7:00 – 8:00 PM

 ADULTS – Meet in the Consistory Room.  Wes Dekker will

 lead the class.  We will be studying important concepts/

 doctrine in the book of Romans.

 

 

NEXT SUNDAY, JANUARY 25, 2015

 

NEXT SUNDAY – Pastor Rick will continue the “Bible in a Year” series

 with the message: “Holy to the Lord”. We will also celebrate the

 sacrament of infant baptism.

 

MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

“BELONGING” - NEW MEMBERS CLASS will be offered

 beginning on February 1!  Interested in knowing more about the

 Reformed Church in America, Grace Reformed Church, and how one

 might consider becoming a member?  Then join Pastor Rick in his

 office for this 6 session class that will meet every other week after the

 morning worship service.

 

GRACE MISSION TRIP to JACKSON COUNTY MINISTRIES

 in Annville, KY– April 19-25.  Details are being finalized for our trip. 

 If you have any questions, or are interested in joining this group,

 contact Shari Dood (538-7498) or Larry Kleymeer (534-5146) soon!

 

THE SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of January is designated

 for HOPE COLLEGE.  This offering will be received on January 25.

 

DESSERTS are needed for Wednesday nights.  If you would like to

 contribute, there is a sign up sheet on the narthex table.  Thank you

 to everyone who has already helped supply goodies to all the hungry

 kids and adults!

 

COOKBOOKS ARE STILL AVAILABLE!!  Cost is $10 each, buy 5

 get one free!!  This is a fund raiser for our Discovery Kidz.

Prayers & Praise Line

January 18, 2015

 

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • Pray this week for the leaders of our church and the missionaries we support.  Pray and ask God’s blessing on their lives and work.
  • Pray today for the children in your lives.  Pray that they may come to know and love God.
  • We pray for the Discovery Kidz today.  We thank God for their lives and their love for him.
  • We ask God for safety as we travel this winter on slippery roads and in dangerous weather.
  • We pray for the families and children that come to The Crossing.  We pray for Heather as she leads them. 
  • Please pray for Pastor George and Connections. We thank God for the lives that are touched by this ministry.
  • We pray today for Lucille Sytsema as she continues the healing process and therapy following shoulder surgery.
  • Keep Esther Hoag in your prayers as she recovers following hand surgery.
  • Continue to keep Lola De Young and her parents, Matt & Lindsey, in your prayers. 
  • We pray for all those who are serving in the military.  In particular we pray today for Amie Pierce now back at Ft. Riley.
