Prayers & Praise Line

January 22, 2017

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • Lord, we ask for blessings on our leaders. May those who are in positions of authority take that responsibility seriously and do their very best each day. May they realize their need for you and for your direction. May they hear your voice as they make their decisions, and may they follow your guidance. May they have a passion for people, for truth, and for righteousness.
  • We give praise to God for our children.  We thank Heather Dood for all she does with the youth groups at Grace and the Crossing.  We pray for Heather as she continues her studies to become a Commissioned Pastor.
  • We thank God for the ministry of Connections.  We pray for Pastor George as he leads them each week.  We thank God for the lives that are touched by this ministry.
  • Continue to keep Geri Ruis in your prayers.
  • Keep Kathy De Ruiter in your prayers following surgery and as she heals.
  • Please be in prayer for Char Otto.  Char has been experiencing very severe back pain and has also been passing out.  Please pray for answers and a relief from her pain.
  • Please pray for the grandson of Ron & Marcia Berends, former members of Grace.  Their Grandson, Brenym Pell, who is the son of Katie, was diagnosed on January 6 with Medulloblastoma, a cancerous tumor on the brain.  Surgery was done to remove the tumor (they feel that 99% was removed).  He will begin radiation on Feb. 6 for 6 weeks followed by chemo.  Brenym is 7 years old and in the 1st grade.  If you would like to follow his progress go to https://brenymstrong.wordpress.com/blog or Facebook Brenymstrong.
  • Please continue to remember our Grace members and members of their families who are in need of healing, comfort, and strength.  Shirley De Bruin; Larry Ver Merris, son of Ruth Ver Merris; Jackie, daughter in law of Roger and Phyllis Vander Sloot;  Deb Stouten, sister of Pastor Rick; Brent Kerkstra, son of Paul; Janet, sister of Wes Dekker; Lana, granddaughter of Ken & Cindy Wylie.
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs. Tena DeVink, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs. Ruth Ver Merris, Mr. Jim Friar.
