 TODAY AT GRACE

TODAY our Cadets and Leaders will share with us about the Cadet
program. A special welcome to Dr. Marvin Vander Vliet and the
Cadet Voyageurs (High School Youth) that meet at the Crossing on
Monday evenings. OUR SPECIAL OFFERING for the month of January
is designated for the CADET organization.

CHILDREN & WORSHIP
Children ages 3 & 4 meet in Fellowship Hall with
Worship Leaders Erika Wigent and Danielle Vining.
Children K – 2nd Grade meet in the choir room with
Worship Leaders Lynda Ver Merris & Chelsea Boeve.

11:20 AM–12:20 PM SUNDAY SCHOOL - There are classes available for
all ages three years old and upward. A nursery is available for those
children under the age of three.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
Sunday School Guide Class will meet in the Consistory Room. Join
them for lively discussions relating to our Christian walk.
The Book of Joshua – Join this class that meets in the Chapel!
“Surrendering: Your Life for God’s Pleasure” - meet in Kia’s office.

THE NEW MEMBERS CLASS will meet during the Sunday School hour.
This is a wonderful opportunity for you to learn more about
your personal relationship to God and what we as a RCA church
believe. We follow the RCA published book, “Belonging”. You can
become a part of this class to just learn and review what we are all
about, but also this class enables you to make Profession of Faith.
Meet in Pastor Rick’s office.

SUNDAYS AT SIX - Pastor Rick will continue the study entitled “From the
Old to the New to You” where we discover Christ in the Old
Testament and in our lives as well. You are encouraged to bring your
own Bible and a pen! Join us tonight.

7:00 PM INDEED HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP will meet.

6:30 PM CHILD PROTECTION POLICY TRAINING SESSION – This
meeting is for anyone who has not already attended a
training session and filled out an application. If you have
any questions, see Darrell. Meet in the Consistory Room.

 NEXT SUNDAY – FEBRUARY 3, 2008

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will share the message “Vainglory: Image is
Everything” from the series “The Seven Deadly Sins”. 

 PRAYERS & PRAISE

HEALTH CONCERNS – Carolyn Baker is at Haven Park Nursing Home
for a time of rehabilitation. Mary Haagsman is at Sunset Manor
following back surgery last week. John Schoolenberg is back at
Blodgett Hospital. See the Prayers & Praise Line for all the other
praise reports and prayer concerns.

OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHIES are extended to the family of Irene
Polderman who passed away on Tuesday, January 22 at the age of
83. Irene was a faithful member of Grace for many years. Services
were held Saturday with Pastor Rick officiating.

IN APPRECIATION – Thank you to everyone who donated hangers for
Club 3:16 winter coats!! ~Kia Delaney

Thanks again to all who made my maternity leave easier by
bringing dinner and gifts to our family. We appreciate you all.

 MISCELLANEOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS


EQUIPPING GOD’S PEOPLE FOR MINISTRY CONFERENCE sponsored by the
Synod of the Great Lakes Diaconal Ministry Team will take place on
Saturday, February 23rd at Orchard Hill Reformed Church. It is an
ideal time for church members and leaders to gather to develop new
skills, stimulate new ministry and/or outreach concepts. Brochures
are on the narthex table or see Shari for more information.


VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for the Middle School Overnighter on February 16
from 8 pm until Sunday morning service on February 17. If you can’t
stay the entire time that is OK….we will appreciate any time you can
give. A sign up sheet will be in the narthex. Please contact Darrell or
Kia with any questions.

MISSION WORK TRIP – This year we are going to Lake Charles in
Louisiana the week of April 20 where we will be building a Habitat
for Humanity home! The RCA is sponsoring this trip so we are again
able to use some of their funds for traveling, accommodations and
food. Please contact Shari for more details or just sign up in the
narthex.

CLUB 3:16 NEEDS VOLUNTEERS on Tuesdays from 3:30 – 5:30 pm or
Wednesday from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. Sign up for 1 day a year, 1 day a
month or weekly what ever works for you we will embrace. Contact
Kia.

ELDERS & DEACONS – Next Meetings are scheduled for Monday,
February 4. Elders Meeting at 6:30 pm; Consistory Meeting
at 7:30 pm.

FELLOWSHIP BOWLING NIGHT – February 23, 9:00 pm. Dinner together
prior to bowling. Save the date…more information soon!
