January 7, 2018

Dear God,

Thank you that you make all things new. Thank you for all that you've allowed into our lives this past year, the good along with the hard things, which have reminded us how much we need you and rely on your presence filling us every single day.  We pray for your Spirit to lead us each step of this New Year. We ask that you will guide our decisions and turn our hearts to deeply desire you above all else.

Congregational Prayers and Praise

  • We are thankful today for our Consistory members who give of their time and talents here at Grace.
  • We are thankful for the dawning of a new year with many new opportunities and possibilities.
  • We pray for all those who have lost loved ones recently.  We continue to keep the Bush and Hendrickson families in our prayers.  We praise God for the gift of eternal life for all who believe!
  • We thank and praise God today for our Children.  We pray that each one will come to know, love, and serve our Great God.
  • We pray today for Heather Dood as she leads the Discovery Kidz and the other youth activities that take here at Grace.  We pray for the Crossing after school program and the families that participate.

  • Please pray for Pastor George and Connections and for the youth and adults that attend each week.  We pray for them as they continue to grow and expand.
  • Please pray for the Search Team as they go about their work.  May the Holy Spirit guide their path.
  • We lift up in prayer Pastor George and Linda Kraft as they undergo therapy following knee surgeries.
  • We pray for Bill Ver Hulst today.  May he feel encouraged and strengthened.
  • Pray for our Shut-in’s: Mrs. Tena DeVink, Mrs. Wilma Kamphuis, Mrs. Ruth Ver Merris, Mr. Jim Friar, Mrs. Betty Figueroa, Mrs. Mary Huizen.

As other prayers are shared, you are invited to write them down and include them in your prayers for our congregation this week. Please keep the church informed of your prayer needs and praises.
