TODAY PASTOR RICK begins a new series of messages at both the
 morning and evening worship services.  See the insert in your
 bulletin for all the details!
 
ORDINATION AND INSTALLATION of newly elected Consistory members
 will be held during our morning service today.
 For the Office of Elder:  Brad Class (ordained and installed),
 Bob Ver Merris (installed)
 For the Office of Deacon:  Jayme Dood, Brian Gort (both will be
 installed)
 
WE EXPRESS OUR DEEP APPRECIATION for the faithfulness and services
 which have been rendered by the Consistory members who this
 morning relinquish their responsibilities after completing their term
 of service:

 CHILDREN IN WORSHIP
 Children ages 4 – 2nd grade meet in the Fellowship
 Hall today for Children In Worship.  Children are
 dismissed prior to the morning message.
 
11:30 – 12:10 PM SUNDAY SCHOOL - There are classes available for
 all ages three years old and upward.  A nursery is available for those
 children under the age of three.
 
 WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME you were able to catch up with friends at
 Grace beyond “Hi, how are you doing?” after church?  Starting
  TODAY you can join them downstairs in the nursery and chat
 while the kids are in Sunday School.  Coffee and cold drinks will be
 provided so plan to come!
 
 ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
 Sunday School Guide Class will meet in the Consistory Room.  Join
 them for lively discussions relating to our Christian walk.
 Grace and the Millennium – Brad Class will lead this group in the
 Chapel.  Today – “Taste the Bitter and the Sweet”.
 The Sunday Prayer Group will meet in Pastor Rick’s office.

NEXT SUNDAY - JANUARY 15, 2006
 
NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Rick will continue the series “Christians in Today’s
 Culture” with the message “We Are Sincere Stewards” from
 I Corinthians 4:1-7. 
 
A NEW MEMBERS CLASS will begin next week during the Sunday School
 hour.  See Shari Dood if you have any questions.
 
SUNDAY’S AT SIX - Join us in the Chapel for the continuation of the series
 on Mark.  Pastor Rick will lead a study of “The Ruler Who Serves
 based on Mark 9-16.  Next Week: “What Do You Want Me To Do?” 
 
PRAYERS & PRAISE
 
HEALTH CONCERNS – Marge Veldheer was able to return to her home
 following hospitalization earlier this week.  Barb Hendricks also
 returned to her home following hip replacement surgery.  See the
 Prayers & Praise Line for all the concerns of the Grace family.
 
OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHIES are extended to:
 Tim & Linda Foster and family upon the death of Tim’s father,
 Clarence Foster, on Saturday, December 31st at the age of 89. 
 Services were held Wednesday, January 4th at the Vander Laan
 Funeral Home.
 Luke & Janell Nordlund upon the death this past week of Luke’s
 Grandfather, Walter TenBrink, age 90.  Services were held Friday in
 Shelby.
 
IN APPRECIATION – Our thanks to the Grace congregation for the
 prayers and cards following Barb’s recent hip replacement surgery.
 She is now able to undergo rehabilitation at home.

 continuing to meet, however, if you are not a part of one that is,
 this is your opportunity to join a group!
 
LOOKING FOR ANOTHER GOOD BIBLE STUDY OPPORTUNITY?  Newhall
 Church, 3746 Byron Center Rd., invites anyone from Grace to attend
 Dr. Dan Kroeze’s “Overview of the New Testament” at 7:00 pm on
 Wednesday evenings.  This is just one opportunity where our
 Wyoming Reformed Churches are sharing in ministry together.  If
 you have further questions, talk to Pastor Rick.
 
THE PRAYER OF JABEZ video and study guide is missing!  Could you
 possibly have borrowed it?  Please check through your books/videos
 and give the office a call if you find it.  Thanks!

NEW PRAYER PARTNER LISTS will soon be available.  Prayer is the
 heartbeat of the church!  When we pray for people personally, we
 bring them right to the very heart of God.  If you have not been a part
 of this program at Grace in the past, now is the time to sign up.  You
 will be given a list of people to pray for each week.  Sign up in the
 narthex.  If you have been a part of this in the past, there is no need
 to sign up again.
 
A NEW GALAXY will soon be published.  Articles are due by January 13. 
 You can place your articles in the bin attached to the file cabinet in
 the main office or contact Pat Ter Beek or Sandy Gort.
 
THE METROPOLITAN CHOIR OF PRAISE, will be holding auditions on
 January 12, 2006.  You are invited to join them for rehearsal
 (7-9 pm).  Auditions will take place immediately following rehearsal
 at Dutton Christian School, 6729 Hanna Lake SE, Dutton.  Contact
 Mary Mc Alary at 662-8131 if you are interested.
