TODAY AT GRACE

9:50 – 11:15 AM DISCOVERY KIDZ MEET. All children ages 3

 years – 5th Grade meet downstairs by the youth desk. 

 

WE CELEBRATE TODAY as Grant Patrick Marshall, son of Rick and

 Laura Marshall, is baptized. The flowers on the piano are in honor of

 Grant’s baptism.

 

ORDINATION AND INSTALLATION of newly elected Consistory

 members will be held during our morning service today.

 For the Office of Elder: Rev. Scott Crane, Wes Dekker

 (Rev. Scott Crane will be ordained as well as Installed)

 For the Office of Deacon: Eric Wigent

 (Eric will be installed as well as ordained.)

WE EXPRESS OUR DEEP APPRECIATION for the faithful service

 which has been rendered by the Consistory members who this

 morning relinquish their responsibilities after completing their term

 of service: John Sawyer, Les VanWyk, Rick Marshall

 

TODAY WE BEGIN The Story, condensed version of the Bible in

 chronological order. In its 31 chapters, you are led through the story

 of God who always calls his people back to himself. Included in this

 study will be not only the Sunday messages, but devotional studies,

 music, and DVD’s featuring Randy Frazee. You will also have an

 opportunity discuss the Chapters of The Story on Wednesday nights

 at 7:00 pm. You will also be able to study the chapters in your own

 devotions using the study questions provided. So join us as we

 immerse ourselves into a year of putting ourselves in God’s Story.

 

THE CHIAPAS MEXICO MISSION TEAM will meet in the Chapel 

 following the morning service.

 

A PRAYER GROUP will meet following the service in the Sanctuary

 to pray for Pastor George and the new church start. All are welcome.

 

THE ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL GUIDE CLASS will meet in the

 Consistory Room following the morning service today.

HEALTH CONCERNS – Tena De Vink has once again returned to

 her home after being hospitalized this past week. For all other prayer

Praise for the excellent turnout and enthusiastic response to the Family Christmas Celebration. 

Praise for the continued support of the people of Grace Reformed Church. Pray for the Crossing

Community folks as we begin to fulfill our mission of “Connecting people with God, each other, and our community.”

  • We are thankful today for the faithful service of our Consistory members.
  • We thank and Praise God for the baptism of Grant Patrick Marshall.
  • We praise God today that Tena De Vink has returned to her home.
  • Please keep Curt Boes, former member of our congregation, in your prayers as waits for a heart transplant.
  • We remember in prayer the following family or friends of our members that are ill or receiving treatments: Dan De Vries, brother of Lisa Braendle; 
  • Norm Ver Merris, brother of Shirley De Bruin and brother-in-law of Ruth Ver Merris. 
  • We pray for the plans being made for the mission trip to Chiapas….may all the details work out and the fundraisers be successful. 
  • Please be in prayer for Brent Wenzel, son of Julie Crane who has left for a tour of duty in Afghanistan. This is his third overseas tour.
